The four are earth, water, fire and wind. The ground is hard, watery and moist, fiery and warm, and windy. All the compositions of the world have these four majorities, such as the bones and claws and teeth of our body, which are large in the earth; sweat and saliva, pus and blood, and defecation, which belong to water; the heat is warm, it is fire; and the breath is breathing, which belongs to the wind. Mountains, rivers, the earth, and all utensils also have the effect of these four elements.
The four great and root bodies – the root body – are our bodies. The Buddha said that our bodies are formed by the sum of the four great harmonies. If a person becomes seriously ill or even dies because of the four great irregularities, the causes of the four great harmonies dissipate, so the Buddhist scriptures say, "The four great voids."
The five aggregates are color, feeling, thinking, acting, and knowing. "Yun" is the accumulation of righteousness, also known as the five yins. "Yin" is an obstacle that obscures righteousness, can restore Buddha-nature, and cause all kinds of troubles. The meaning of the five aggregates is explained below:
Color - that is, matter, change into righteousness, is created by the four major kinds of earth, water, fire, and wind.
Receiving - receiving - receiving as righteousness, including the three feelings of suffering, happiness, and renunciation (not suffering or unhappiness).
Thinking - - taking the image as righteousness, thinking of good, evil and hatred, etc., thinking of all kinds.
Action - - - from the creation of righteousness, that is, by action to create good and evil karma.
Consciousness - - - to know the other is righteous, from the mind to know the other realm of the right.
The sum of the five aggregates and the root body, the root body, is not outstanding, the five aggregates of receiving, thinking, acting, and knowing, and it is only when these five aggregates are combined with each other that we gather into a body with spiritual effects. When these relationships spread fire, the body is damaged, so the Buddhist scriptures say, "The five aggregates are not there." The Buddhist scriptures say, "The four great voids, the five aggregates are not there, the conditions are gathered, and the conditions are scattered and separated", which means that the five aggregates of the root body arise from the dependent body, so we must not create karma by clinging to these five aggregate roots, because there will be suffering in the creation of karma.
problem:
(i) What is the relevance of the four major groups?
(2) Why do buddhist scriptures say, "The Four Voids"?
(iii) What is the meaning of each of the five aggregates?
(4) Why do Buddhist scriptures say, "The five aggregates are not there?"?
(v) What are the elements that make up the root body? What is the sum of the roots?
