In Chinese history, there have been three large-scale southward migrations of the Central Plains shimins. The first was the "Yongjia Nandu" in the last years of the Western Jin Dynasty, the second occurred in the "Anshi Rebellion" in the Tang Dynasty, and the third was the "Jianyan Nandu" after the Jingkang Disaster in the Song Dynasty. In the three waves of immigration, Weifang shimin has played an extremely important role. Especially in the process of "Jianyan Nandu", Weifang Shimin and his descendants brought qilu Confucian style to all parts of the southern country, deeply immersed in the local culture, and had a positive impact on the politics, economy and culture of the Southern Song Dynasty.
