In 1941, the situation of the struggle against the enemy in the Eighth Division became increasingly serious. The base areas of the eight subordinate divisions of the hostile division have stepped up encroachment and blockade, set up additional strongholds around the base areas, and gradually extended their advances to the hinterland; at the same time, they have established a puppet regime, expanded their maintenance areas, coerced and seduced, organized secret agents, and even formed "sensitive troops."
After the summer sweep, the Japanese Kou also transferred more than 100 officers above the rank of deputy commander (along with more than 200 communications and Zizhong personnel) from the garrisons in the counties of Jinzhong to form an elite "Sasaki Light Assault Team", often taking civilian husbands and a large number of mules into the mountains to sweep, and the captain was named Sasaki Xun, who was both fierce and cunning. Shishazhuang is a mountain village in the western mountains of Jiaocheng County, located in the southern foothills of the main peak of the Lüliang Mountains, which was the center of the Eighth Military Sub-district of the Jinsui Military Region at that time, and was the only way for the Japanese to "sweep" the anti-Japanese base area in the northwest of Jinxi, and its geographical location was very important. When Han Jun, commander of the Eighth Subdistrict, learned of this information, he immediately dispatched scouts and militiamen to investigate the enemy's situation in depth, and decided to concentrate the strength of the fourth, fifth, and sixth regiments, determined to completely annihilate the enemy. The six regiments suffered dozens of casualties and annihilated more than 100 Japanese troops, although they did not completely annihilate the enemy, but most of the enemy's troops, the enemy chief Sasaki Hoshi captain was killed, dealing a heavy blow to the arrogance of the enemy, breaking the myth of the invincibility of the Sasaki commando team, and giving the enemy a fatal blow to the tactics of rapid attack. It was a battle known as Jinsui, and after the battle, the Eighth Division held a celebration meeting in the village of Shangchangxiao, and the military and the people celebrated this major victory together. This battle greatly boosted the fighting spirit of the local anti-Japanese soldiers and people, and strengthened the confidence and determination of the military and people to persist in the War of Resistance to overcome difficulties.
