Comparison of Cultivation Education and Immersion Education (3)

Comparison of Cultivation Education and Immersion Education (3)

Education requires theory. Practice without the guidance of correct theory is often blind practice.

However, the theory must first be useful. The so-called "useful" is to be able to solve problems effectively. Theories that cannot solve the problem are useless no matter how beautiful they sound.

For example, infiltration education is useful for increasing the rate of further education.

Why did I say in the previous article that infiltration education cannot be universally extended to basic education?

Because infiltration education has two major "birth defects":

1. The closedness of time and space and the scope of knowledge limitation are relatively small. It is effective for specific goals but not conducive to the cultivation of innovative thinking and ability.

2. High-intensity training, for children's energy belongs to the "exhaustion and fishing" learning, it is difficult to have durability. Time is not conducive to physical and mental health.

The goals of basic education and current upper secondary education are completely different. Once you enter high school, you will begin the "countdown to the college entrance examination". It would be too much to set the "countdown to the college entrance examination" as soon as we enter kindergarten. In fact, many people do this. This is harmful for most children. It is no less than a "disaster" for society. Whether you realize it or not, that's the way it is.

The goal of basic education is not the college entrance examination, so what is it?

The core goal of basic education is to ensure that children are smoothly "socialized", focusing on the cultivation of personality, achieving free and comprehensive development, and eventually growing into talents who are happy in their personal lives and useful to society.

This is a theoretical question, but even more a practical one. If our education deviates from this theory and practice, it will sow deep hidden dangers for our future. For a generation, it is even an irreversible hazard.

So, what is the educational method that is commensurate with the goals of basic education?

The answer is actually very clear, that is, to cultivate education or call it edification education.

Taoye education is essentially an "open" education. The scope of environmental and knowledge information is dominant but not closed. Educators purposefully and systematically set up and use various emotional and environmental factors, so that the educated people can develop emotions, cultivate interests, absorb knowledge, think, internalize social information and general rules under the influence of subtlety and ear-catching influence, establish ideals and form a knowledge system and personal ability with individual characteristics.

In terms of structural scope, taoye education includes three major aspects: family style, school spirit and social atmosphere. The "wind" here refers to a synthesis of environmental and cultural influences. In the family, it mainly includes the synthesis of tutoring, family behavior habits and family members' cultivation. In school, it refers to the cultural atmosphere presented by the school collective dominated by the quality of teachers (especially principals) and behavioral habits. In society, it mainly refers to the influence formed by the combination of social environment, social security and social and cultural atmosphere.

Three-dimensional education, which integrates family, social and school education, is a perfect structure of basic education.

Family, social and school education need to be organically combined, but after all, they are relatively independent. If we leave aside the two aspects of family and society and only talk about schools, how should we carry out good cultivation education?

We'll move on to the next article.
