Emperor Wenzong of The Qing Dynasty (1831-1861) was Aishin Kyora Yixuan. Emperor of the Qing Dynasty. He reigned from 1850 to 1861. The fourth son of Emperor Xuanzong. Daoguang reigned for thirty years (1850) at the age of twenty. The year name is Xianfeng. In the first year of Xianfeng (1851), troops were dispatched to suppress the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and other peasant uprisings. Repeated defeats. In the third year, he used Zeng Guofan and other Han officials and gentry to establish regiment training, and appointed Sushun and others to plan finances. In the sixth year, Britain and France launched the Second Opium War, and he pursued a policy of external compromise and internal repression. In eight years, the Treaty of Tianjin was signed with Britain, France, the United States, and Russia. Ten years later, when the British and French invading armies attacked Beijing, he fled to Rehe (rehe, in present-day Chengde, Hebei), ordered his brother Prince Gong yi to stay in Beijing to negotiate peace, and signed the humiliating "Beijing Treaty" with Britain, France, and Russia, and recognized the unequal Sino-Russian "Treaty of Yaohun".
