People with a little historical knowledge know the "Wang Anshi Change Law" during the Northern Song Dynasty, when Wang Anshi, the prime minister of the time, aimed at the abuses of the system and policy of the early Song Dynasty, in order to enrich the country and strengthen the army, he wanted to use a lot of commercial means, such as the equalization method, the city change law, the Green Seedling Law, etc. to carry out economic reforms, trying to increase the state financial revenue, and various new drawbacks appeared in the process of implementation, and at the same time, it was considered "innovative" by conservative forces, and the result did not take long to fail, and some later historians always felt that Wang Anshi's reform and change of law were still worth affirming. I found a lot of historical materials to find out why the change failed, and which of the links went wrong.

Of course, there is no problem with Wang Anshi as a reformer, and the great revolutionary teacher Lenin said: Wang Anshi is a reformer in the eleventh century, but what is the guiding ideology of Wang Anshi's reform and change of law, many people are not very clear. Some scholars in later generations have studied Wang Anshi's transformation method and noticed that his reform measures have taken the long-obsolete "Zhou Li" as a theoretical basis, similar to Zhao Pu's "Half analects governing the world", Wang Anshi believes that "a "Zhou Li" financial management is in the half", which is enough for him to use to build reform ideas. He also discussed with Emperor Shenzong the possibility of trying to restore the Ida system of the Western Zhou Dynasty, so that it would follow the same path as Wang Mang's "Togu Reform", using the theory of "looking backwards" to guide the reform of "looking forward", and the results of its failure can be imagined.

The book "China: Tradition and Change," known as the "Fairbank General History of China," mentions Wang Anshi's transformation of the law, "like Wang Mang of the Han Dynasty, declaring that his reforms conformed to the contents of ancient scriptures" and that "on the other hand, similar to Wang Mang, Wang Anshi was accused and praised as a socialist, but his motives were no more socially equal than his famous predecessors."
