In order to effectively control the main pests and diseases of tea plants, control losses to a minimum, and ensure tea production and quality safety, the Ministry of Agriculture has formulated a number of programs. Requirements: The control and disposal rate of major diseases and insects reaches more than 90%, the overall control effect of pests reaches more than 85%, and the loss rate of tea plant diseases and insect pests is controlled within 10%. The quality of tea meets the requirements of pollution-free, and the coverage rate of green prevention and control technology reaches more than 50%. The prevention and control strategy adopts agricultural control as the basis, with ecological regulation, physical control and biological control as important means.

In view of the program formulated by the Ministry of Agriculture, this paper classifies the types of tea plant pests and diseases, prevents and controls from three aspects: agricultural control, biological control and physical control, and introduces the specific control methods in detail.

First, the types of tea plant pests

Tea plant pests will have a greater adverse effect on the normal growth of tea plants, reducing the quality and yield of tea leaves. Tea plant pests are mainly in the following categories. Juice sucking: there are mainly false-eyed small green leafhoppers, tea aphids, long white aphids, black whiteflies, green blind bugs, tea tree snake-eyed bugs, etc.; leaf eaters: mainly tea inchworms, tea silkworms, tea caterpillars, tea white poison moths, tea black poison moths, flat thorn moths, etc.; drill aphids: mainly tea branch sickle moth, tea tianniu, tea branch wood beetle moth, etc.; underground pests: mainly including large crickets, grubs, etc.

Second, the types of tea plant diseases

Through the analysis of the types of tea plant diseases, it can be seen that there are more than 40 kinds of tea tree diseases that currently exist, which have a greater impact on the normal growth of tea plants. The main tea plant diseases are as follows. Leaf diseases: mainly including tea anthrax, tea cloud leaf blight, tea coal disease, tea tree burning disease; branch disease: mainly including lichen, tea plaster disease, silk seed, etc.; root disease: mainly including tea seedling white silk disease, tea tree root rot disease, tea seedling root knot nematode disease, etc.
