I am Hu Lin, a nurse in the medical team of Nanjing Children's Hospital supporting Nanjing Public Health Center. Today is still busy, not only with heavy medical work, I am also a rotating "mother".

At noon on July 31, I received a call from a patient to receive a 2-year-old baby. I thought that the family came with the child, and when they met, they were told that the child's parents were in isolation, and only the child came here. The little one was held, tears in his eyes, and at that moment, there was some pain. As a mother, I told myself at that moment, "Take care of him and be his temporary mother." ”

"In the face of such a young child, the pressure of medical staff is even greater, and it is not a small challenge to take care of him 24 hours a day and to soothe his emotions while ensuring safety." Feeding, changing diapers, coaxing, bathing, everything that was originally done by Mom and Dad is now done by us.

Soon, everyone was in line and made a 24-hour escort plan. A group of rotating mothers just got on the job. After the shift change, everyone can't help but pull out their mobile phones and look at the messages sent by the group. Seeing colleagues take out their own various collections, there are lollipops, cookies to coax children, a warm current slowly flows through the heart.

I am Gan Cong, a respiratory physician at Nanjing Children's Hospital supporting the nanjing public health center medical team. I remember the first night shift at the Public Health Center, where I received a 3-year-old child. In the night, the small body is wrapped in a large protective suit, wearing a protective screen, and every step she takes is worried that she will trip. I quickly went up and squatted down to greet the little girl and carried her to the pediatric ward on the 6th floor.

She lay obediently on my shoulder, her soft little hands hugging me tightly. When I went to see her again after I had finished my medical advice and written the course of my illness, she had quietly fallen asleep. In the isolation ward, although it is separated by heavy protective clothing, everyone's heart is close together. Here, it is more about companionship and encouragement, love and hope.

In the pediatric ward, there are more rotating mothers, we hope to use our own professional diagnosis and treatment technology to cure every child, but also hope to warm every child with their own love, with our big hands to hold their small hands, work together to defeat the epidemic as soon as possible.
