Synopsis:
Charlie (Chris O'Donnell) is an ordinary middle school student who faces a tough choice of either confessing or being kicked out of school because he witnesses a prank but doesn't want to betray his friends. And Farran (Al Pacino) is a veteran officer who loses his sight by accident and his life slips from its peak to the bottom.
Since the two people's lives intersected, the turn of fate has slowly become clear. St. Farran plans to end his meaningless life, so he enjoys his last trip in the company of Charlie. He eats the most delicious dishes, buys a glamorous car, rides on the narrow streets, lives in a luxurious suite, follows the perfume of a strange woman, dances an elegant and sexy tango... After blissful madness, he pointed his gun at his head. However, Charlie's hoarse dissuasion changed everything, and the dawn gradually re-emerged in the old man's heart, and the two were as deep as father and son.
Stellan's rousing speeches in the school auditorium saved Charlie's future and satirized the hypocrisy of the school. The two were reborn in mutual encouragement.

Among the five dubbing versions of the film that have been handed down so far, I personally feel that Xu Tao and Lu Yilu's Al Pacino are very suitable for the role, and it is a pity that the version of the legendary Shen Xiaoqian has not been found so far. Al Pacino won an Oscar for his lieutenant colonel in this film, Al Pacino's outstanding acting skills make the film capture the hearts of the audience from beginning to end, although this film is a remake, but the classic degree of the film has far exceeded its original, which is really admirable!
