In July 1949, when the founding of New China was imminent, Liu Guangdian, who had been fighting on the hidden front for many years, finally waited for the opportunity to reunite with his family, but he received a new task, for the cause of the liberation of the reunification of the motherland, the Social Department of the CPC Central Committee arranged for Liu Guangdian to secretly infiltrate Taiwan and cooperate with the main leaders of the CPC in Taiwan to retrieve relevant information. Liu Guangdian, who could have lived a happy reunion life with his family, did not hesitate in the face of the task, and before leaving, he left a final letter to his wife Wang Sulian, which mentioned that if he did not return for a year or two, he would go to the newspaper to find a notice of Liu Fang's search.

Liu Guangdian's wife, Wang Sulian, painstakingly kept this agreement, but she could not wait for her husband to return until her death. Liu Guangdian's three children are also looking forward to their father's return, gradually growing up. It wasn't until 1987, when hopes of a family reunion were dashed, that Liu Guangdian's eldest daughter, Liu Yufang, saw her father's name on a list of underground Ccp members in Taiwan, and she sadly realized that she could never look forward to her father again. However, for her father's sacrifice, Liu Yufang still has many doubts, why did her father sacrifice in Taiwan? What did he do in those years of disappearing? Liu Guangdian's youngest son, Liu Yuping, took nearly 20 years to solve the mystery of his father. The two photos left by the martyr Liu Guangdian before his sacrifice displayed by Liu Yuping on the spot made people understand his absolute loyalty to the faith.
