One thing cannot be too much, too much will develop in the opposite direction, which is called the opposite of things.
Everything has a limit, and it cannot go on indefinitely. For example, if you eat, you can't eat all the time, so sooner or later your stomach will burst. For example, when the body grows, it is impossible to grow all the way up to the sky.
The negative pole tai lai in the I Ching is a portrayal of the opposite of the extremes of things, the transformation of yin and yang, the transformation of yin and yang into yang, and the transformation of yang to poles into yin.
Throughout history, such examples abound. For example, Wang Yangming of the Ming Dynasty.
Wang Yangming is the second person in China to be called a saint, and his life is full of ups and downs. When he was seven years old, he was hurt by the bamboo, he aspired to be a sage at the age of twelve, and later because Liu Jin framed Zhongliang, no one in the DPRK dared to speak out, and he was struck thirty times by the court staff for his righteous and outspokenness, almost killing him and falling ill. He was imprisoned in a big prison, and then he was relegated to Guizhou Longchang, which was dark and damp, and the miasma was everywhere, which was very unfavorable to his injury and bumpy to the extreme. Eventually, he realized the Tao in the Dragon Field, rebounded from the Jedi, and founded the theory of Yang Ming Mind Science and the unity of knowledge and action. "Knowing is the beginning of action, doing is the completion of knowledge, and knowing and doing is actually one thing."
Those who turned from yang to yin were all arrogant and proud because of arrogance and pride, no one in sight, and the merits of the Lord, and finally ended up with a tragic end.
This is an example of this in the Qing Dynasty's Nian Tang Yao. In the early years, Tang Yao marched south to the north, and made outstanding military achievements, military power in his hands, and his merits were high. After the arrogance, there is no one in sight. Once, Yongzheng summoned Nian Qianyao and his subordinates, and when they bowed to the Yongzheng Emperor, the Yongzheng Emperor asked them to get up, but they did not move, they all looked at Nian Qianyao, and only after getting Nian Qianyao's consent did they get up, and in their eyes there was only Nian Qianyao, no Yongzheng Emperor, only great generals, no emperors. In the end, the fate of Nian Qianyao can be imagined.
In our lives, these examples also abound, so we must be wary of the law that things must be reversed, and nothing can go to extremes!
