Another more widely known name for the mysterious Edward Dickey is the pirate Blackbeard. Many people know more about Blackbeard's terrible experience than they do about the man with the thick beard. He also made the most of his beard, which he was said to have burned with fire, so he smelled like he was from hell.

This famous pirate Blackbeard spent only about two years (1716-1718) plundering on the high seas. However, during this time, he accumulated a great deal of wealth. While the Spaniards were busy fetching all the gold and silver they could get from Mexico and South America, Blackbeard and his companions waited patiently before making a surprise attack on the ships filled with treasure on their way back to Spain.

Blackbeard is notorious for cruelty and viciousness. His reign of terror was concentrated in the West Indies and the Atlantic coast of North America, with headquarters in the Bahamas and North Carolina. He died in November 1718 when British Lieutenant Robert Maynard decapitated the pirate's head and hung his head on the bow mast as a terrible trophy. But where did Blackbeard's vast wealth go? He once admitted to burying the treasure, but never revealed the location. But that didn't stop countless treasure hunters from looking for it.

We usually associate treasure with pirates, but gangsters also hide it. Before being killed by a rival in 1935, the infamous Duchi Shulz was believed to have hidden $7 million in The Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. However, people don't know if the treasure is really there, or if it's just a fictional story.

The Wild West gangster Jesse James buried the gold bars for later collection, but he hid the bounties in different locations. While some gold bars were indeed found, others were not. Still, the story behind gold is fascinating. It comes from a Mexican government transport that was robbed by James's gang in 1876. It is said that the four are worth $2 million in the popular four, and they are buried in various locations in Oklahoma, USA. Jesse James himself died in 1882, but where his gold was in doubt has become a mystery.

John Mosby was a smart and dangerous man from Virginia. He served in the Confederacy during the Civil War, and his famous nickname was "Greyhound". Why do they call him that? This is because he is a brilliant raider, and he and his men will raid at night. He was so good at this that the team was called the "Mosby Rovers". In March 1863, he attacked the Union Army camp at Fairfax Courthouse and found a bag containing gold, silver, handicrafts and jewelry, and took it with him. Later, he had his men bury the bag between two large pine trees, which he marked with a knife. To this day, the treasures remain in place and are said to be worth as much as $6 million. But no one has yet found them.
