After that, Li Yaowen began to carry out secret work for our party, such as collecting useful information, organizing youth theater troupes, performing anti-Japanese dramas, etc. After working for a period of time, our party also greatly appreciated Li Yaowen, and some time ago it was also regarded as an examination of him, so in 1937, the 19-year-old Li Yaowen was finally approved to join our Communist Party of China.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Comrade Li Yaowen successively served as a member of the Propaganda Committee of Rongcheng Provisional County of the CPC, a political commissar of the First Road Headquarters, the director of the Political Department of the "Three Armed Services," the political commissar of the Third Detachment of the Jiaodong Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Brigade, and the Political Commissar of the Twenty-first Brigade.
In addition, Li Yaowen also led his troops to participate in the Shandong military and civilian counteroffensive, and captured countless strategic materials, and at this time Li Yaowen had already served as the political commissar of the Ninth Division of the Luzhong Military Region, and indeed in just 8 years, Li Yaowen's position had been promoted so quickly, indicating that his ability was indeed too outstanding.
In the War of Liberation, Li Yaowen also made many meritorious achievements, and participated in the Battle of Laiwu, the Battle of Menglianggu, the Battle of Shatuji, the Battle of Huaihai, etc. In the Battle of Shatuji, Li Yaowen also annihilated the Kuomintang Fifty-seventh Division and captured the commander of the lieutenant general division alive.

After returning to China, Li Yaowen successively served as director of the Political Department of the Shandong Military Region, director of the Political Department of the Jinan Military Region, deputy political commissar and director of the Political Department of the Jinan Military Region, ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania, and in 1980 he was appointed political commissar of the Navy. In addition, in September 1955, General Lee Yiu-man was awarded the rank of rear admiral, and in September 1988, he was awarded the rank of admiral.
Surely you know that the Battle of Nansha occurred on March 14, 1988, right?
