As early as 2020, the West China Metropolis Daily and the cover news reporter learned that when the Red Army arrived in Yan'an, northern Shaanxi, there were only more than 700 female Red Army personnel when they arrived in Yan'an, northern Shaanxi, and after the founding of New China, there were only more than 400 female Red Army personnel. Most of the Sichuan female Red Army troops during the Long March have died heroically in battle or scattered in various places. Li Hongxiang, 101 years old, a native of Tongjiang, Sichuan, died in Chengdu on April 6, 2021.
Due to historical reasons, the special group of Sichuan female Red Army soldiers on the long march has long lacked propaganda, but its deeds and great spirit can be sung and wept, and it is particularly worth remembering.
From June to July 2020, after unremitting efforts and multi-party communication and coordination, the cover news and West China Metropolis Daily special reporting teams conducted rescue interviews with 5 of the surviving female Red Army in Chengdu, Dujiangyan, Chongqing, Neijiang and Beijing: took pictures and videos, and recorded their precious audio-visual materials.
What makes us sad is that when the interview was completed and the relevant details were carefully verified again, on September 29, 2020, Liu Wenzhi, a female Red Army officer from Sichuan who participated in the Long March with the Red Fourth Front, died at the age of 108 in Chongqing at 16:08 on September 28, 2020.

On April 6, 2021, another sad news came: Li Hongxiang, a Sichuan female Red Army soldier who will turn 101 this year, died of illness in Chengdu on the morning of the 6th. Li Hongxiang joined the Red Army at the age of 12 and completed the Long March at the age of 16.
