From June 18th to 20th, the second national MBBS program young teachers English teaching demonstration activity was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province, and young teachers selected from 45 colleges and universities approved by the Ministry of Education to enroll MBBS projects participated in the competition, representing the highest level of medical teaching in English for international students in China. Dr. Wang Qing, a young teacher of the Department of Neonatology of Shanghai First Maternal and Child Health Hospital, represented Tongji University and won the second prize of the competition with her pure and fluent English expression, rich and solid professional knowledge, and flexible and diverse teaching methods.
It is reported that the MBBS project young teachers English teaching demonstration activities are held every two years, the competition covers all the colleges and universities in the country that recruit undergraduate clinical medicine majors (taught in English) to come to China, and has become the largest and most influential English teaching display and exchange activity for international students in China. The competition was sponsored by the China Education Association for International Exchange and the International Medical Education Branch, and hosted by Qingdao University. Leaders of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the China Education Association for International Exchange attended the exhibition. More than 300 teachers and administrators from 45 universities that recruited medical students to study in China attended the event. 45 players from Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, Wuhan University, Shandong University, Sun Yat-sen University, Jilin University, Capital Medical University, China Medical University, Southern Medical University and other well-known universities in China competed on the same stage. All the contestants were selected by the selection and sending school, a female and infant teacher Wang Qing previously won the special prize of the English Lecture Competition for Young Teachers of Tongji University School of Medicine, won the qualification for entering the national competition, and under the guidance of experts from the medical school and hospital of Tongji University, participated in the national competition and won the second prize.
