Time Network News The 20th Shanghai International Film Festival announced the opening film and the shortlisted films of the Golden Jubilee Award. "Sea of People" director Cai Shangjun's new film "Under the Ice" was successfully shortlisted, and the famous Danish director Billy Auguste's war epic film "Beacon Fangfei" will open the festival.

Cai Shangjun, a famous mainland director, debuted as a screenwriter and has collaborated with the famous director Zhang Yang on films such as "Bathing", "Love Spicy Hot", and "Sunflower". In 2007, he released his directorial debut, Red Combain, which was shortlisted for the New Wave section of the Busan Film Festival and won the Film Critics Fabisi Award. Four years later, he filmed the film "Crowds of People", which was shortlisted for the main competition unit of the Venice Film Festival. "Under the Ice" is the third work of Director Cai, which focuses on the story of a small Russian border town in the film, and stars such as Huang Bo, Song Jia, Xiao Shenyang, and Liu Hua co-starred.

Films shortlisted for the Golden Jubilee Awards also include: the famous Hong Kong director Hui Anhua's new film "When is the Bright Moon", which is based on real history and starring Zhou Xun, Peng Yuyan, Huo Jianhua, Chunxia and other stars; the independent comedy "Brisby Bear", which was widely acclaimed at the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of this year; the 83-year-old famous Japanese film master Yasun's new work "Remembrance"; and the new film "Beacon Fangfei", a famous Danish director who won the Palme d'Or, will also open the festival.

A total of 14 films from 13 countries were shortlisted for this year's Golden Jubilee Awards, and the official list of finalists for other awards was also announced.
