In Youxian County, the local specialty dried incense has been passed down for a long time with its unique flavor, attractive taste, excellent production and exquisite craftsmanship, and has become an identity business card of Youxian County.

Water is spiritual, and the secret of Youxian xianggan is closely related to water.

The Jiubu River in the upper reaches of the Youhe River flows into the natural mineral water of Caobo Yuwang Cave, the Yin River water filtered by Pijia Cave and the hot spring water of Baishi, which are rich in minerals and trace elements that are beneficial to human health, creating a unique water quality that meets the requirements of green environmental protection.

In addition, the production method of Youxian xianggan is also quite distinctive, the whole process of traditional handmade, of which individual links, let people understand, can not do, its technology needs long-term practice.

It is said that many outsiders buy back soybeans from Youxian County and operate them according to the craftsmanship taught by Youxian people, but the dried incense produced, whether it is texture or color, let alone taste, cannot be compared with "Youxian dried incense".

In the past, although youxian dried incense was delicious, because youxian dried incense was a "fragile product", it was difficult to preserve and transport. At the same time, because it is handmade throughout the process and the yield is low, it is not easy to eat the golden and delicate Youxian xianggan outside of Youxian County.

In recent years, in the tide of rural revitalization, with the support of government departments, "small workshops" have formed a "big industry", which has achieved "rebirth" while ensuring "original taste".

At present, there are more than 400 dried incense enterprises and workshops in Youxian County, and the dried incense industry in Youxian County has realized the transformation from workshop-style production to enterprise operation. At present, there are 14 enterprises with a daily processing capacity of more than 3 tons. 5 leading agricultural industrialization enterprises at or above the municipal level have been newly cultivated, and 13 characteristic industrial parks at or above the county level have been established, of which Nanguo Hongdou and Xiangdongqing have been identified as provincial demonstration parks of modern agricultural characteristic industrial parks.

According to incomplete statistics, the xianggan industry in Youxian County has driven nearly 20,000 industry employees. In 2020, the total output value of the whole industrial chain of Youxian Xianggan is nearly 1.96 billion yuan.
