Duan Simmer was one of Dong Zhuo's generals, but many people had never heard of this person's name. Duan Simmer can be said to be a general with an unbroken conscience, and although Duan Simmer followed Dong Zhuo, what he did was still a righteous person.
In March 191, Dong Zhuo's army was defeated and quickly retreated in the direction of Chang'an. During the retreat, he ordered Duan Shengtun to attack Huayin and lead his troops to stop the attack of the princes.
