At the top of Yingling Mountain in Shandong, there stands a bronze statue. He was a warrior, holding in his hand the three or eight large cover guns that he had made great achievements in his lifetime. The bronze statue's gaze is fixed on the people of the village, as if guarding their safety.
He was the hero Ren Changlun, who was once a general under General Xu Shiyou, and fought fiercely like a tiger. Mentioning Ren Changlun's performance on the battlefield, comrades in arms gave him a thumbs up. As soon as the trumpet of battle is sounded, he will bear the brunt of it and charge into battle.
So, what kind of heroic story is there in him?

In the spring of 1921, in the village of Sun huzhuang in Shandong Province, a family was moving. One of the pregnant women was particularly conspicuous when suddenly she had a sharp pain in her stomach. The pain made her bend down, and the family rushed to help the woman into the house. Soon there was a loud cry from a baby inside.
The baby landed on the ground, and he was the hero Ren Changlun.
Ren Changlun's family is very poor, and the family often needs to rent a villager's house to live. On the day of his birth, Grandpa heard that his daughter-in-law had given birth to a big fat boy, and he was very happy, hoping that with a boy in the family, the family could no longer move, so he named him "Moving Prison".
Ren Changlun's childhood life was very poor. The family only has a few acres of land, coupled with the landlord's oppression and heavy taxes, it is impossible to feed the family. Forced to support the family, my father had to go out often to work for the landlord, and the family barely survived.
When Ren Changlun was 4 years old, the family barely built two grass houses. Although life is hard, but the family is around, life gradually has hope, but fate is always impermanent.
When Ren Changlun was 6 years old, the Kuomintang army came to the village to collect Zhuang Ding, and his father was among them. But the family's life is mainly maintained by the father, the father is gone, how should the family live? So his father refused to be requisitioned by the Kuomintang, and the Kuomintang officers were furious. Ren Changlun's father was severely beaten by them and beaten to the point of breaking his head and bleeding.
Soon after, his father died of his injuries. Ren Changlun's mother saw her husband die, her heart was full of grief and indignation, plus after her husband's death, the burden of the family weighed on her, too tired, in Ren Changlun's 8-year-old year, her mother died.
In this year, Ren Changlun lost his complete family and became an orphan.
Fortunately, his uncle saw the tragedy of Ren Changlun's family and felt very sad in his heart, so he took him to his side and raised him. His uncle named him Ren Changlun. When his uncle saw that Ren Changlun had reached the age when he should go to school, he sent Ren Changlun to school to study, read and read. Ren Changlun watched his uncle's family live a poor life in order to provide for him to go to school.
At the age of 14, he could not bear to see his uncle's family, because he had a difficult life, he dropped out of school to work as a short-term worker to help his uncle carry the burden of family life.
Sun Huzhuang, where Ren Changlun is located, was once one of the places where the Boxer Rebellion was active. Growing up, Ren Changlun could often hear the legendary story of the Boxers heroically killing corrupt officials and resisting foreign insults. Therefore, after suffering from the hardships of oppression, he hated the evil forces even more and sympathized with the poor people.
Growing up, he developed a brave character, jealous and hateful. Ren Changlun also often helps the poor people and has a chivalrous heart.
At that time, there was a custom in Ren Changlun's hometown that rich families would not hire small workers with bare arms. Therefore, in order to prevent Ren Changlun from having no work, his aunt made a small coat for him. But when he saw that many people did not have the money to make clothes and therefore could not get a job, he often lent his clothes to others.
In 1938, the Japanese army invaded Yantai, Shandong Province, and did nothing wrong on Chinese soil. As a result of Chiang Kai-shek's policy of non-resistance, local Kuomintang officers ran away one after another to hear the sound of gunfire, and some Chinese became pseudo-traitors.
This made Ren Changlun, who had a bold heart, indignant, until his hometown Sun Huzhuang set up an anti-Japanese team to bravely resist the invasion of the Japanese army. Ren Changlun, who has reached the age of 17, resolutely decided to sign up and join the anti-Japanese team. Don't look at Ren Changlun's young age, in a critical moment, he can always play a great role.
He put up anti-Japanese slogans in villages, destroyed Japanese base areas, and planted mines, and he carried out anti-Japanese tasks. One day in the spring of 1939, Ren Changlun and two comrades-in-arms went to the neighborhood to arrest a traitor. There they caught only one pseudo-traitor, and at this time, several Japanese soldiers from the market came straight to them.
Ren Changlun was in a hurry and asked the other two comrades-in-arms to take the traitor back first. Taking advantage of the fact that the Japanese army was not paying attention, he threw a grenade at them, shouting as he walked: "The Eighth Route Army is coming, let's run!" The Japanese army was confused by him, afraid that the Eighth Route Army was really coming, and did not dare to go forward to chase. Ren Changlun successfully completed the task and was praised.
In the old days, people all married early, and when Ren Changlun was 19 years old, he also married a woman named Mu Guilian. On the wedding night, he said to his newlywed wife: "The chance of the village self-defense group fighting with the devils is too small, and I have to go to the regular army of the Eighth Route Army to fight the devils every day." ”
In August 1940, the anti-Japanese brigade in the county wanted to select anti-Japanese fighters from various villages, and the cadres of the village self-defense regiment read that Ren Changlun had just married and the newly married Yan'er, so they concealed the news from him. After Ren Changlun learned the news, he went to the regiment cadres and pleaded in every way. Finally got a spot, and he was overjoyed.
Since then, he has become a soldier of the anti-Japanese brigade. In October of the same year, the Anti-Japanese Brigade was reorganized into the regular Eighth Route Army. Ren Changlun really became a soldier of the Eighth Route Army, and he was very happy. After the reorganization of the oath meeting, the company commander of the Eighth Route Army saw this elated young man and asked him if he was afraid of going to the battlefield, and whether he would shed blood and die in battle.
Ren Changlun replied firmly, not afraid. At that time, Ren Changlun wanted to fight the devils, and the devils acted arbitrarily on the chinese soil, as long as he could fight the devils, he was not afraid of anything. With this belief, he fought more and more fiercely on the battlefield of the Anti-Japanese War, like a fierce tiger.

fight like a tiger and move forward bravely

After Ren Changlun successfully joined the ranks of the Eighth Route Army, he soon had the opportunity to go to the battlefield. In December 1940, Ren Changlun participated in the Battle of Guojiadian. Comrades-in-arms took up bayonets and fought with the enemy. Ren Changlun saw a soldier fighting the Japanese army, and he bravely moved forward. He grabbed the Japanese army and fell to the ground, took the opportunity to grab the Japanese army's three or eight large cover guns, and quickly stabbed the Japanese army, ending the life of the Japanese soldier.

Immediately afterward, Ren Changlun continued to fight with the Japanese troops on the battlefield with a gun. After a while, he felt that the bayonet was not enough to fight, so he smashed the enemy's head with the butt of his rifle, and the battle was very brave and fierce, and he was praised by the battalion commander. The battalion commander then handed over the three-eight-big cover gun to Ren Changlun.
After obtaining the gun, Ren Changlun took the gun day and night to train shooting and fighting, and practiced a skill. On July 26, 1941, Ren Changlun's unit was ordered to attack the enemy's three bunkers.
Ren Changlun braved the rain of bullets and bullets to come to the bunker, and a torch lit the firewood under the bunker, and the fire attacked the bunker. In the fierce fighting, the fighting lasted until the evening. Several enemies in the bunker resisted, hiding inside and insisting on fighting.
After a fierce battle, Ren Changlun and his comrades were wounded, and some comrades were even sacrificed, leaving only 9 comrades to insist on fighting. Ren Changlun cooperated with his comrades-in-arms and set up a ladder in front of the bunker. He was not afraid of danger, endured the pain of his body, and climbed the ladder. Just as he was about to reach the gun hole of the bunker, a stone suddenly flew from inside and hit him on the head.
He felt dizzy in an instant, almost passed out, and only woke up to the shouts of his comrades. He pulled out the explosive packet with difficulty and shoved the gun hole in front of him. Quickly jumped off the ladder, and then there was a noise in the bunker, and the bunker exploded. The comrades took the opportunity to rush in and annihilate the enemy.
After the baptism of war, he grew from an ordinary peasant to a communist fighter. With love for the party and the people, Ren Changlun became more and more fierce in the battle and became an excellent vanguard fighter. During the ambush at the Battle of Monkey Valley, Ren Changlun insisted on fighting even though he was wounded. During the campaign, he was the first soldier to climb into a Japanese car and fight the Japanese.
In another attack, he rushed into the wall and threw grenades at the enemy as he charged forward. Despite his arm wounds, he was unmoved and continued to fight. It wasn't until his arm was no longer able to move that he had to temporarily retire from the battlefield.
Ren Changlun not only fought bravely in battle, but also cared deeply about his comrades-in-arms. From an early age, he had a chivalrous heart and helped others. In the battlefield, we will never leave our comrades-in-arms behind, and even risk our lives to save the lives of our comrades-in-arms.
In the winter of 1941, that night, it was unusually cold. Warriors who fight on the battlefield are very hot in their hearts. In the smoke of war, all they felt was the enthusiasm for fighting.
That time, they had just finished a short battle and retreated from the battlefield. But when the troops counted the numbers, the squad leader found that there was one less person in the unit. After inspection, it was found that it was the third squad leader Shi Deming, who was still on the battlefield. Ren Changlun immediately made a decision, volunteered himself, and reported to the squad leader to rescue Shi Deming.
After the squad leader agreed, Ren Changlun returned to the battlefield and bent down to walk towards Shi Deming. The enemy spotted them on the city tower and immediately opened fire on them. In order to protect Shi Deming's safety, Ren Changlun protected him with his own body. Shi Deming was not injured as a result, but Ren Changlun was injured in the head.
Shi Deming repeatedly told Ren Changlun to go first, leave him alone, his foot was injured and he could not walk. Ren Changlun insisted that he absolutely could not leave his comrades behind, and that this was a task that he must not give up. So he said, "My mission is to rescue you, and if I don't complete the task, I won't go back when I die." In the end, Ren Changlun relied on strong perseverance to successfully rescue Shi Deming.
When attacking the outlying stronghold of Changyi, he once again sacrificed his life and forgot his death to cover the escape of his comrades-in-arms. During the battle, the troops decided to withdraw from the battle, and Ren Changlun and two other comrades stayed at the end to cover the retreat of the large troops. At this time, the enemy's large army came, and Ren Changlun was alone, leading the enemy to another road and covering the escape of the other two comrades-in-arms.
In another battle, Ren Changlun's body was covered with color, and he endured the pain to kill the enemy continuously, and rescued his comrade-in-arms Sun Fuli from the hands of the enemy.
In June 1942, with his outstanding performance in the battlefield, he was promoted to squad leader. In November of the same year, one night, Ren Changlun led two comrades to the front to investigate the situation. Ren Changlun they reconnoitered to the left front, there was an ambush of the enemy army.
So they decided to investigate the situation on the right, and quietly came to the right, only to see two puppet soldiers. They took the opportunity to go up and stone one of the puppet soldiers, and the other puppet soldiers were captured alive, and learned from him about the situation of the enemy troops nearby. According to intelligence, the troops successfully broke through.

Ren Changlun was sacrificed, and Xu Shiyou deeply mourned

On July 1, 1942, in order to unify the leadership of the Eighth Route Army, the militia and local armed forces in jiaodong were unified, and the Jiaodong Military Region was established, with General Xu Shiyou as the commander. According to the central organization, Ren Changlun's Fourteenth Regiment became one of the main forces of the Jiaodong Military Region.
Because of Ren Changlun's bravery in the battlefield, the chief praised him. Xu Shiyou also heard the name Ren Changlun many times, and after hearing about his combat deeds, he developed a heart of love for talent and greatly appreciated this fierce tiger warrior.
Ren Changlun also became a fierce general under General Xu Shiyou.
In October 1943, Ren Changlun's troops fought with the enemy three times and won consecutive battles. During the attack on The Near Branch, in the face of the fierce enemy and fierce fire, Ren Changlun suddenly got up from the trench and threw a grenade at the bunker.
Then he lit a pack of explosives and rushed to the bunker. The enemy was frightened by Ren Changlun's bravery, and they all stepped out of the bunker and obediently surrendered.
With his outstanding performance in battle, Ren Changlun was selected as the combat hero of Jiaodong Military Region in July 1944. Later, he won the honorary title of "First Class Combat Hero" in Shandong And went to participate in the Battle Hero Congress.
At this time, ren Changlun heard that the Japanese army was about to carry out a major sweep of our army's base areas. Ren Changlun's heart ignited the fierce fire of battle, eager to kill the enemy bravely in battle. So Ren Changlun returned to Jiaodong with full of anger, hoping to fight on the battlefield.
In the face of the enemy's sweep, our army immediately carried out a counter-sweeping operation, but the leader refused Ren Changlun's request for battle and did not intend to let him participate in this campaign. It turned out that Ren Changlun was already injured at this time, and there was even shrapnel on his body that had not been removed. The leader ordered him to rest for a while.
Ren Changlun's long-term hope is to go to the battlefield to fight the devils, drive them out of the country, and let the Chinese and people live a happy life. At this time, he asked him not to participate in the battle, and he never agreed. In so many years of fighting, even if he is injured, he has to fight, and this time is no exception.
Ren Changlun asked the leader: "I must go to war, I can't stand it without fighting!" In the face of Ren Changlun's repeated requests, the leader finally agreed.
On November 17, 1944, a force of more than 700 Japanese troops marched south along the road to Laiyang. The commander issued an order to the Fourteenth Regiment to ambush the Japanese and prevent them from moving south. After receiving the task, the Fourteenth Army decided to set up a pocket array in the northwest direction of Changsha Fort to ambush this Japanese force.
As soon as the battle began, the Japanese pounced on the headquarters of the Fourteenth Regiment. The soldiers of the five companies next to them fought fiercely with the Japanese army to stop the Japanese army. At this time, seeing that the platoon leader was injured, Ren Changlun, as the deputy platoon leader, quickly stood up and commanded the battle.
He commanded nine squads of fighters, divided into two groups, to attack the two flanks of the Japanese army. The Japanese attack was fierce, launching four consecutive charge attacks on the soldiers of the five companies. After repelling the enemy charge, the troops ran out of ammunition. Ren Changlun was the first to stand up, pick up the bayonet, and lead the remaining fighters to engage the Japanese army in a white-knife battle, fighting bayonets.
Ren Changlun has experienced many battles and has already practiced a skill. His bayonet fighting skills are famous throughout the Jiaodong Military District. Using his bayonet, he quickly annihilated two Japanese soldiers. The Japanese soldiers saw that Ren Changlun was brave in battle, highly skilled, and extremely harmful, and tried to solve his life and weaken the combat effectiveness of our soldiers.
Four Japanese soldiers marched forward and besieged Ren Changlun from four directions. The Japanese soldiers running in front of him shouted and ran towards him, threatening to come. Ren Changlun reacted quickly and stabbed the Japanese soldier's right side with his bayonet, sniffing the Japanese gun back.
Then he raised his bayonet and stabbed at the Japanese soldier, and a forward stab solved the Japanese soldier's life. Ren Changlun had just pulled his bayonet from the Japanese corpse, and the enemy on the left and right sides surrounded him. The Japanese bayonet on the left stabbed forward, and Ren Changlun dodged backwards in time, and the bayonet stabbed empty, and the Japanese soldier fell to the ground. Ren Changlun took the opportunity to kick him and kick him down the hillside.
The Japanese soldiers on the right saw the defeat of their comrades and decided to sneak up on Ren Changlun from behind. Ren Changlun sensed the movement of the Japanese army, quickly turned back, and smashed the enemy's head with the butt of his rifle. Then with a bayonet stab, the Japanese soldier fell to the ground.
A Japanese soldier hiding behind Ren Changlun took advantage of the moment he drew his bayonet and quietly stabbed Into Ren Changlun's body from behind. The Japanese army attacked many times, which made Ren Changlun angry. At this time, he was eager to have thirty-six doppelgängers and kill all the Japanese soldiers on the battlefield.
Seeing his comrades-in-arms sacrificing one after another, Ren Changlun's heart lit a flame. Even though he was physically injured, he still used his superb bayonet skills to kill 5 ghosts in succession. The Japanese soldiers saw that Ren Changlun was really brave, so they fled away. That night, the Japanese counterattacked again, secretly firing a vicious shot at Ren Changlun.
The bullet hit Ren Changlun in the head, and he died and fell on the battlefield. The comrades-in-arms saw Ren Changlun's sacrifice and came to him. Ren Changlun left his last words: We must hold our position and leave me alone.
His sacrifice made his comrades feel extremely sad. And at this time they were on the battlefield and had no time to grieve. They can only turn grief into strength. In the heat of battle, comrades-in-arms attacked the enemy from all sides. Finally, in the fierce battle, the enemy finally fled in a hurry, and our army won the victory. The troops took advantage of the victory to pursue and dealt a fierce blow to the enemy.
When Xu Shiyou heard the news of Ren Changlun's sacrifice, he was also very sad and lost a fierce general. He decided to organize a memorial service for him personally, which he presided over personally. Many leaders of the Jiaodong Military Region and relatives of Ren Changlun attended the memorial meeting.

Xu Shiyou asked the soldiers of the military region to learn from Ren Changlun's spirit of fighting bravely. Everyone made concerted efforts to drive the Japanese invaders out of China's territory at an early date, restore tranquility to China's territory, and enable the Chinese people to live a peaceful life.
At the end of the memorial service, all the soldiers of the Fourteenth Regiment of Ren Changlun's unit performed a gun salute to the remains of the martyrs. Xu Shiyou personally covered a new cotton jacket of his own on Ren Changlun's body. On that day, Xu Shiyou was very sad about Ren Changlun's sacrifice and did not eat a bite of food all day.
Soon, Xu Shiyou held a meeting. At the meeting, ren Changlun's company was named "Ren Changlun Company" to commemorate this heroic martyr forever. Since then, the "Spirit of Ren Changlun" established by Ren Changlun in many battles has become the spiritual soul of this company.
In February 1945, the county government of Ren Changlun's hometown decided to name his hometown, Sun Huzhuang, Changlun Zhuang as Changlun Zhuang to commemorate the martyr Ren Changlun forever. In the spring of the same year, the people of Jiaodong actively donated various bronze objects and made a bronze statue for Ren Changlun.
To this day, it still stands on the yingling mountain and defends the people. His bronze statue resembles a magnificent building, exuding a sense of heroism. This is a brave warrior who defends the people with his life.
In October 1948, in the famous Battle of Tashan, this unit carried forward the spirit of Ren Changlun's brave and fierce battle, defended the honor of this company, and won the collective first class merit.
On March 25, 1949, Mao Zedong and Zhu De inspected soldiers at Xiyuan Airport. Among them, "Ren Changlun Lian" is impressive. On September 3, 2015, the "Ren Changlun Company" was paraded in front of Tiananmen Square in front of the parade in Tiananmen Square.
After the founding of New China, the Chinese army disarmed for various reasons, but it still retained some of the brigades of this unit, and the revolutionary spirit of the martyr Ren Changlun was forever inherited.
In September 2009, Ren Changlun martyrs were successively selected as heroic and exemplary figures, the first batch of anti-Japanese heroes and heroic groups. The three-eight large cover gun that Ren Changlun seized before his death has been preserved in the Military Museum to this day.
Looking at this gun, we can remember that Ren Changlun once used this gun to make great achievements and establish outstanding battle achievements in the battlefield. Ren Changlun martyr is not afraid of sacrifice, bravely fights, and the revolutionary spirit of wounded fighting will always exist!
To this day, little is known about him. We should remember him as a revolutionary fighter who made meritorious contributions to the founding of New China, to the building of the Party, and to the building of the Party. In his short military career, he has experienced hundreds of battles of all sizes, leaving more than a dozen scars all over his body. Before he died, the shrapnel on his body had not been removed.
He was only 23 years old when he died, and in the most wonderful years of his life, he gave his life to the revolution.
