In the 2009 NBA Draft, DeMare Carroll was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 27th pick in the first round. DeMare Carroll played for the Grizzlies in the 2009 Summer League, averaging 26.8 minutes per game, contributing 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals, shooting 58.5 percent from the field, helping the Grizzlies to a 5-0 record.
