A veteran of the NBA for 11 years, Carroll has played in 578 official NBA games in Memphis, Houston, Denver, Utah, Atlanta, Toronto, Brooklyn and San Antonio.
Carroll played for the Spurs and Rockets in the 2019-20 season. The Man from Birmingham, Alabama, played two seasons under Budenholzer in Atlanta starting in 2013-15, including winning 60 games and advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2014-15 season.
Charles Lee, who has been an assistant coach for the Bucks for the past four seasons, was promoted to first assistant coach. The 2022-23 season will be Lee's ninth season since joining the Atlanta Hawks as assistant coach in 2014. In addition to following the Bucks to win the 2021 NBA championship, Lee made seven of Budenholzer's eight seasons in the playoffs, including three Eastern Conference Finals.
Lee, born in Gaithersburg, Maryland, began coaching at his alma mater, Bucknell, where he served as an assistant coach for two seasons. As a Bison player, Lee was the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2006 and won two Patriot League titles. After Bucknell's career, Lee played professionally in Israel, Belgium and Germany.
Vince Legaza has most recently served as an assistant coach for the Utah Jazz for the past four seasons, and he was hired as an assistant coach for the Bucks. Prior to moving into Utah, he spent three seasons in the Player Development Division for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Legazza's NBA career began with the Hawks, where he spent two seasons serving in the team's basketball operations and player development divisions. The San Francisco native, a graduate of the University of Miami (Ohio), played five seasons in the men's basketball team, three of which were captains.
Brian Mueller, who is about to enter his fifth season with the Bucks, was promoted to assistant coach. Mueller is a native of Watertown, Wisconsin, and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He has served as the Bucks' chief video coordinator for the past three seasons. He began working as a video and player development assistant for the Bucks in 2018 before being promoted to chief video coordinator prior to the 2019-20 season. Prior to joining the Bucks, Mueller spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Lindenwood University.
Sidney Dobner was promoted to Bucks chief video coordinator. Dobner will enter her fifth season with the Bucks, where she served as assistant video coordinator last season. After completing college and career, the Newbury Park native, Calif., began working as a video assistant/coaching assistant at Wisconsin in 2018 before joining bucks basketball operations in 2019-20 before transitioning to video and player development assistant for the 2020-21 season.
