South Korea's KBS 2TV "Moonrise River" has released new stills from Kim So-hyun and Luo Renyou! Moonrise River is a reinterpretation of a classic folk tale that tells the love story between Princess Hiraoka (Kim So-hyun) and Winda (Ro Renyou).
The new stills depict Wenda approaching Hiraoka as a criminal on the execution ground. In the stills, Hiraoka sits with his hands tied to a chair. Although she is a criminal, she is imbued with a noble spirit and mature taste. The grim expression of the King of Yanyang looking down on Hiraoka from a high place adds to the tension of the scene, making the audience wonder what crime Hiraoka has committed and let himself fall into this troublesome situation.
Another still photo shows Wenda returning to the palace wearing a suit of armor to find Hiraoka. Although he has been taking care of his cottage in the mountains until now, Wenda returns to the outside world for Hiraoka. When they reunite, the two look each other affectionately into each other's eyes.
After Wenda left the palace, Hiraoka clashed with the King of the Sun several times. As a vassal of the king, Hiraoka preferred to side with the king of Yanyang in most respects, but she firmly refused the order of the king of Yanyang to recall Wenda to fight. Wenda also refused to go out of the mountain the day he went to find him in Hiraoka, just to see him again.
Despite this, Wenda returned to the palace for Hiraoka. The stills capture the moment when Wenda, who wields a sword only for her beloved, has to face the world again because of Hiraoka's danger. How Wenda knew hiraoka was in danger, and whether he could rescue hiraoka from a dangerous predicament, the audience was looking forward to it.
