On November 6, Chen Miner, secretary of the municipal party committee, Tang Liangzhi, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor, and Li Xiaohong, secretary of the party leading group and president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, who came to Chongqing to investigate the development of microelectronics technology and integrated circuit industry, held a discussion.

We adhere to the big data intelligence as the leading scientific and technological innovation as the strategic support for high-quality development, the western (Chongqing) Science City as the main battlefield of scientific and technological innovation, make full use of local universities and scientific research institutes and other scientific and technological resources, actively introduce first-class scientific research institutions and high-level innovation teams at home and abroad, create an innovation ecology of "near and far", and accelerate the construction of a scientific and technological innovation center with national influence. Integrated circuits are an important direction for intelligent innovation of big data, and Chongqing has a good industrial foundation, rich application scenarios and a broad market space. This special investigation is a strong impetus for the city's scientific and technological innovation and industrial development. It is hoped that the Chinese Academy of Engineering will increase its support in the construction of national innovation platforms, scientific research, talent training, etc., and the academicians will give full play to their professional advantages and contribute wisdom to Chongqing's further expansion of scientific and technological innovation and industrial development paths.
