The Master of All Ages, the Sage of Kong

author:Tamami is auspicious

I knew Confucius from childhood, Kong Sage, from the beginning of the "Batch Forest Batch Kong", when the treatment of Confucius was no better than now, the whole society called him "Kong Lao'er", and later knew that because Confucius ranked second among the boys in the family, it became a slanderous nickname for Confucius in the era of breaking the four olds and overthrowing the cow, ghost and snake god.

My respect for Confucius and my understanding of him are not only to catch up with the fashion, but also to approve of his ideas and ideas, and even more to be the glory of Shandong people!

Previously, confucius was best known for his works such as the Analects and the Spring and Autumn Period, as well as his precedent for the enrollment of civilians, breaking the previous precepts that only the royals and nobles could receive education. It was later learned that Confucius's contribution to Chinese history and culture was far more than that. The Chinese master of traditional Chinese studies, Liu Yizheng (1879---1956), said in the "History of Chinese Culture": "Confucius, the center of Chinese culture, without Confucius, China has no culture, since confucius before The Chinese culture, rely on Confucius to open." Sima Qian wrote in the "Records of History": Confucius Cloth Cloth, passed down for more than ten generations, scholar Zongzhi. Since the Prince of Tianzi, the Chinese "Six Arts" compromised with the Master, which can be described as the most holy. It can be said that Confucius's outstanding contributions to the history of ancient Chinese thought, culture and education laid the foundation for his "Wensheng" status as the "Master of All Ages".

Some people honor Confucius's thought as "Confucianism", which is appropriate in terms of the impact of Confucius's thoughts and writings on future generations and the people. He compiled and sorted out poems, books, rites, music, yi, and spring and autumn, which are collectively known as the Six Classics. Preserving and passing down the ancient civilization classics of more than 2,000 years ago is a great contribution of Confucius to the world. The Poems he compiled, the Book of Poetry, are the most complete and credible ancient books left over from ancient China, and their historical value is comparable to the Greek Homeric Epic. The Book of Books, or Shang Shu, records ancient history. The "Ritual" includes three aspects: one is the study of the historical development of etiquette, the second is the etiquette of governing the country, and the third is the norm of daily etiquette, and he once advocated "self-denial and retribution". "Music" Confucius's love for music reached the point of obsession, when traveling around the world, in Chen Guoliang for 7 days, he also played and sang continuously, he also proposed "to be happy in poetry, to stand in etiquette, to become happy". "Yi" was originally a book by the ancient ancestor Bu Xiao, who not only sorted out and studied "Zhou Yi", but also interpreted it and wrote "Yi Chuan". "Spring and Autumn" is an ancient chronicle, Confucius compiled "Spring and Autumn" is after the age of 70, fully represents Confucius's ideological ideas and insights of the work, is a book for the future generations of emperors to legislate.

Sima Qian once lamented in the "Records of History" that those who enjoyed the precious glory were compared with Confucius, they were temporarily prominent, but they were only a passer-by of a historical moment, and they had decayed as long ago as the herbs. Confucius's noble personality and doctrine of benevolence and righteousness as a commoner in cloth were praised and revered by future generations, a position that no king could attain.

Confucius's contribution to education was unprecedented, and it is now unattainable to those who came after. The famous "Apricot Altar Lecture" reflects future generations. Confucius's previous education was that only the children of the upper class of the aristocracy were eligible to go to school, and Confucius opened the first private school with the idea of "teaching without class", no matter whether the status was poor or low, as long as ten pieces of dried beef were sent, they were accepted as students. His students spread all over the world, with 72 sages and 3,000 disciples, and taught according to their aptitudes, becoming the first educator in Chinese history. Invented the "percussion method" of heuristic teaching, which does not answer questions positively, but inspires students in both positive and negative aspects. Advocate students and teachers to discuss issues together, and promote equality between teachers and students in democratic teaching.

"Since ancient times the sages have been lonely.". Confucius was determined to walk the path all his life, but he was always unambitious and had a bumpy fate. He lost his father at the age of 3 and his mother at the age of 17. In order to learn the piano, he ran from Shandong to Shanxi to learn the drum and piano from Xiangzi, a famous musician in the Jin Dynasty. At the age of 30, he mastered the six arts: ritual, music, archery, imperial court, book, and counting, later the Six Classics, which are called necessary conditions for entering the upper class. Around the age of 30, he received the first batch of disciples. Among them, there are Zilu, Ran You, Zigong, Yanhui and so on. He did not enter politics until 51, and became the capital of Zhongdu County, which is now the southern part of Wenshang County, Shandong, equivalent to the county chief, and later promoted to the official in charge of land and engineering construction in the country. Because Confucius was dissatisfied with the decadence of Lu Dinggong, he resigned his official post and traveled around the world, successively to Weiguo, Song Guo, Zheng Guo, Chen Guo, Chu Guo, after 14 years of wandering, the 68-year-old Confucius returned to Lu Guo after being criticized and unable to exert his ideals and ambitions. He continued his lectures at Soo Si and began to delete the Six Classics.

Although Confucius was already famous in the world, and some people called him a saint, the real admiration was still the foundation laid in the Western Han Dynasty. Emperor Liu Bang of the Han Dynasty was the first emperor to visit the Confucius Temple. Since then, successive emperors have honored Kong and made Confucius the "Most Holy Ancestor" and "Master of All Ages". Confucius advocated filial piety, faithfulness, courtesy, righteousness, honesty, courtesy, leniency, faith, sensitivity, and favor, and a series of moral concepts founded by Confucius became a norm. As a result, "benevolence, righteousness, wisdom, and faith, gentleness, courtesy, and frugality" have become traditional virtues that are generally recognized and observed by the public. Confucius's thought has become a cultural foundation of the Chinese nation, which has been widely disseminated around the world and has been widely recognized. For example: first get rich and then teach, be kind to people, be humble and courteous, be benevolent and moral, etc., more than 2,000 years later, it is still very relevant to today's society.

The influence of Confucian culture on China and even the world has a long history. At present, Confucius House, Confucius Temple, Confucius Forest, has been included in the World Cultural Heritage List, especially Kong Lin is the tomb of Confucius and his descendants, at first it was not very noticeable, the Eastern Han Dynasty only occupied an area of one acre, to Qing Yongzheng has reached more than 3,000 acres, legend kong forest here are several strange phenomena, do not inhabit birds, is one of the strange phenomena of Kong Lin. Here there are more than 100,000 trees such as pine cypress elm locust and willow, which are luxuriant and shady, but there are few birds, and even the ubiquitous sparrows have no trace. Plants that do not grow thorns are the second strange phenomenon of KongLin. Not entering ugly animals is the third of the Konglin strange phenomena. The dense vegetation is the best place for animals to hunt and live in seclusion, but small animals such as rabbits, foxes, badgers, hedgehogs, rats, and snakes are not found. It is inevitable to add a lot of mystery to the holy land of more than two thousand years. The legend of Fuzi Cave, which is not far from my hometown, is the place where Confucius was born, but a thorn similar to a jujube tree that often grows in the local area originally had its thorns growing upwards, but the Fuzi Cave was long downwards, and the legend is that it was afraid of stabbing the young Confucius.

However, the influence of Confucius on future generations is everywhere! In folklore, "seventy-three, eighty-four", is the two hurdles in life, indeed universally recognized, which is also derived from Confucius lived 73 years old, Mencius lived 84 years old and spread in folklore. Thirty and standing, forty not confused, fifty knowing the Mandate of Heaven, which came from Confucius's experience, has become the way for people to grow and establish their destiny today.
