Overseas network on October 27, CBS reported on the 25th that 11 lions at the Denver Zoo in the United States tested positive for the new crown virus, and they were infected with the Delta strain. The lions were not vaccinated against COVID-19.

Zoo staff noticed that the lions were coughing, sneezing, runny nose and drowsiness. The park then conducted a nucleic acid test on the lion and the results showed positive. The garden issued a statement on Twitter on the 25th, confirming that 11 lions were infected with the Delta strain, and their ages were between 1 and 9 years old.

Denver Zoo veterinarians said the lions developed mild symptoms and the park is closely monitoring their condition. Brian Okoni, senior vice president of life sciences at the Denver Zoo, said, "Other big cats in zoos across the country have also been infected with the coronavirus.
