On September 9, the film "Watching Youth", jointly produced by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Education of Liaoning Province, the Radio and Television Bureau of Liaoning Province, the Propaganda Department of the Dalian Municipal CPC Committee and Dalian Maritime University, held its premiere at Dalian Maritime University. At the premiere scene, qu Jianwu, a professor at Dalian Maritime University, who was awarded honorary titles such as national moral model, model of the times, and "the most beautiful strivers", paid tribute to the college counselor's film "Watching Youth", which resonated with the audience, and many viewers wept several times.

Based on Qu Jianwu, the film "Watching Youth" that pays tribute to college counselors is a special fund support project for the cultural industry development of the Central Propaganda Department, directed by young director Wang Ye, starring Lin Yongjian, and starring Gong Hanlin. The film uses the return visit of the protagonist Liu Wei, played by Lin Yongjian, to present a touching story in the interlacing of the camera. From inferiority to self-confidence, from vanity to rising, from indifference to family affection... With the help and guidance of counselor Liu Wei, a group of young people finally successfully crossed the "thresholds" of youth growth.
The film successfully portrays an outstanding contemporary teacher who not only adheres to the national righteousness of the country, but also understands the psychology of students, and is willing to work hard for the healthy growth of the young generation, he is the leader, but also the companion, the awakener, he has a realistic character archetype, great and ordinary, serious and warm.
In an interview with reporters, Lin Yongjian recalled the process of taking over the filming of this play. "One day, director Wang Ye came to me and said that he was going to make a movie about the story of college counselors, I didn't know much about college counselors, the director told me about the play, one was a scene on the boat, students from all over the world called the teacher, and there was a prison scene, after saying these two scenes, I said I acted." Lin Yongjian said, "When I first read the script, I choked up and cried several times. Especially when I saw Mr. Liu Wei visit the giant ship that he had brought with him as the captain of the ship, and so many students called from oceans and ports around the world to report to him, I immediately had a sense of picture, and I felt proud of the growth of students with love as a teacher and the peach and plum all over the world. I am a person who is not very good at drinking, but after reading this script, I drank a lot of beer, and I was touched by Teacher Liu Wei. ”
Wang Ye said that the original intention of making this film was to pay tribute to college counselors, "We took Qu Jianwu as the prototype, in the interview experience life, to understand the extraordinary experience of more than 200,000 counselors in ordinary jobs across the country." Qu Jianwu's former students also rushed to the scene, including Yan Peixing, a student working in Tibet, who said that he saw his own and Teacher Qu's shadow in the movie: "Like the student in the movie, my family is relatively poor, I don't like to communicate with my father, and my parents' feelings are not very good.
