With the help and guidance of counselor Liu Wei, a group of young people finally successfully crossed the "thresholds" of youth growth.

Lin Yongjian said, "When I first read the script, I choked up and cried several times. Especially when I saw Mr. Liu Wei visit the giant ship that he had brought with him as the captain of the ship, and so many students called from oceans and ports around the world to report to him, I immediately had a sense of picture, and I felt proud of the growth of students with love as a teacher and the peach and plum all over the world. I am a person who is not very good at drinking, but after reading this script, I drank a lot of beer, and I was touched by Teacher Liu Wei. ”

Wang Ye said that the original intention of making this film was to pay tribute to college counselors, "We took Qu Jianwu as the prototype, in the interview experience life, to understand the extraordinary experience of more than 200,000 counselors in ordinary jobs across the country." We condensed these stories into 4 stories. In the story, the counselor really treats the students as their own children, in order to protect their privacy, guide and teach them, and give the right guidance at the critical moment of youth growth. Every story is actually great, which is why we concentrate on creating. ”

At that time, I was very confused in college, and I didn't think I could finish college. On my birthday, Teacher Qu invited me to dinner and talked about my thoughts. It was Teacher Qu who untied my heart knot little by little, the 200,000-word short message exchange, Teacher Qu visited my home three times, my hometown is in Gansu, very remote, just like the movie played, it is really wading through the mountains. He cheered my parents up and gave us confidence. There are a lot of elements of me in the movie, and I was particularly touched. Teacher Qu is my beacon and is very important in my life. Dalian Maritime University students Zhao Bangtao, Lü Zhan, etc. participated in the film, Zhao Bangtao said: "Through participating in this film, I have a better understanding of the hardships and difficulties of the counselor's work.
