Since the beginning of the new century, films and TV dramas on Tibetan themes have been well received, whether it is the TV series "Dust Settled" adapted from Alai's novel of the same name in 2003, Lu Chuan's "Coco Xili" based on a true story in 2004, or Zhang Yang's "Kailash" and "Soul on the Leather Rope" in recent years, Wan Ma Tse-dan's "Tharlo", Songtaiga's "Ara ginger color" and other films, all of which have achieved good evaluation and corresponding box office in the film market. The fact that films of this genre are so favored by the market and audiences is not only due to the gradual maturity and improvement of the Chinese film market, but also the demand of a new generation of film audiences for more diversified and richer cultures. Recently, the film "Crashing into a Sheep", produced by Wong Kar-wai and directed by Wan Ma Tse-dan, is adapted from Tsering Rob's short story "Killer" and Wan Ma Tse-dan's short story "Knocked a Sheep Dead", which attracted much attention and discussion soon after its release.

Thinking and awakening the awareness of ecological care
There is a storyline in the movie "Bumping into a Sheep" in which the driver Jimba did not choose to discard or sell a sheep after killing it, but took it to the monastery to ask the living Buddha to go over and hold a heavenly burial ceremony for the sheep, this way of treating a sheep in a human way may not be understood by most viewers, but Wan Ma Tse-dan's treatment obviously has a sense of care for the equality of life, and this sense of care is the spiritual pursuit and cultural behavior norms shaped by Tibetan Buddhist culture. It is also influencing ordinary people living in Tibetan areas.
In Tibetan films, this sense of ecological care is very representative. The most significant is the film "Coco Xili" directed by Lu Chuan, which led to a large number of poaching behaviors with the large demand for Tibetan antelope cashmere in the consumer market, and the local patrol team members fought with the poachers in order to protect the Tibetan antelope, and most of the members of the entire patrol team gave their lives in the death struggle with the criminals. Lu Chuan's film has been criticized for catering to the aesthetic tastes of the middle class, but the loophole of this criticism is that it misunderstands the ecological care consciousness conveyed by the film itself, and this sense of care is an indispensable survival attitude and human consensus that has gradually been established in the development of modern human civilization. Although the Tibetan antelope in the movie "Coco Xili" is a national protected animal, and the "Bumped into a Sheep" is just an ordinary sheep, the spiritual direction of the two films is the same, that is, the ecological care consciousness of the equality of life and soul. In "Knocked To Death of a Sheep", Jimba's behavior after killing the sheep continues to pass with the camera, showing his contradictions and struggles and compassionate mentality, until he buries the sheep to complete his own redemption, but this act of knocking the sheep to death due to his own mistakes will become his permanent psychological trauma. The compassionate attitude towards the sheep embodied by the driver Kimba in the movie also indirectly affects his path to find the Avenger, at this time people and sheep are equal, without this attitude of equality of life, the driver Kimba will not complete the redemption of the Avenger Kimba in the movie.
In the current film market, there are not many people with ecological care consciousness like "Bumping into a Sheep", but in the process of China's civilization today, this awareness is undoubtedly needed, and the thinking and awakening brought by the film itself to the film audience has also played a good role in shaping people's behavior in daily life.
The redemptive consciousness of human nature
Good movies should have the function and role of influencing people, inspiring people, shaping people, in recent years, Tibetan theme films have made a good attempt at the level of human redemption, the sense of inquiry about faith and the redemptive consciousness of human nature construct the cultural spirit that people lack in their daily social life, and also provide a care for people to find the support of the soul in the burden of reality. The protagonist "Jinba" in the movie "Knocked Over a Sheep" has two redemptions, the first time is that the driver Jinba chooses to ask the living Buddha to give the sheep a super degree after killing a sheep, and holds a heavenly burial ceremony for the sheep. The second time is that the avenger Jimba chooses to forgive and leave after finding the enemy who killed his father, while the driver Jimba helps the avenger Kimba complete his revenge in the dream and leaves after waking up. The film borrows two completely different ways of real space and dream space to complete the narrative, and also completes the redemption of "Jimba".
There is a sentence at the beginning of the movie: "The Khampa Tibetans have a tradition that if there is a vendetta, it must be repaid; if there is a vendetta, it is a shame." This sentence confirms the inevitability of the avenger Kimba's revenge in the film, that is, the primitive way of acting shaped by this unique national cultural tradition. At the end of the film, the author uses another sentence, "If I tell you my dream, you will forget it; if I let you into my dream, it will also become your dream", revealing the redemption method used in the second half of the film, that is, in the dream way. In reality and dream, "Kimba" completes the double redemption. The conciliatory attitude conveyed by the film itself and the redemption of the purest spirituality of human nature are also fully presented with the music of the ending song "The Butcher on the Passage".
The current inspiration of Tibetan-themed films
In the face of the current crisis of overall spiritual belief, "Crashed into a Sheep" provides a revelation for the present with an attitude full of ecological and human caring awareness, and the protagonist Jinba in the film has completed his redemption, and the film itself has also completed the construction of the protagonist's faith and completed the care for the ecology. The film itself does not have fierce conflicts and conventional drama routines, but from the perspective of human concern, using the unique temperament of the characters, the presentation of the Scene of the Tibetan Scenery, the use of music, the clever use of lenses and colors, etc., not only well restores the spiritual direction of the original work, but also shows the director's own creative attitude towards ecology, humanity and redemption. In the current film creation, the lack of care and understanding of "people" in real life, as well as the disregard for the moral and aesthetic functions carried by works of art, the evolution of this trend has also caused a crisis in film, and the creation of Wan Ma Tse-dan is the best response to this crisis.
In the face of today's domestic film market in full swing and there are not many fine products, it is especially necessary for film workers to re-find the tradition of effective adaptation of literature by films in the 1990s, so that the creation and production of films can be more literary, so as to further enhance the artistry of films. At the same time, the audience's attention to Tibetan-themed films also reflects the lack of attention paid to the individual life beliefs of works of art in daily life, which has also caused a crisis of the sinking of the general reputation of domestic films, and in the face of this crisis, film creators need to maintain commercial effects while also seeking humanistic care from literature and traditional culture.
