The exclusive report from foreign media Variety, authorized by Ubisoft, Netflix to create the "Assassin's Creed" live-action series, has been determined to be a screenwriter. Jeb Stuart, the screenwriter of Die Hard, will write the script for the series.

News of the Assassin's Creed live-action series was first made public in October last year as part of an agreement between Netflix and Ubisoft to develop film and television content based on this best-selling IP, including live-action, animation, anime and other forms. Ubisoft Film & Television's Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik serve as executive producers.
Netflix and Jeb Stuart did not respond to Variety's request for comment.
It is reported that Netflix and Ubisoft have reached a partnership on many film and television projects. In addition to the Assassin's Creed live-action series, Netflix recently announced that it has ordered anime series based on Far Cry and Laser Warhawk. Netflix will also launch a Splinter Cell anime series, led by Derek Kolstad, screenwriter of The Rush. A film version of The Division, starring Jack Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain, is also currently in production.
