The police handling the case quickly launched an investigation around the QQ account, Alipay account number, and bank card account involved in the case, and after more than 2 months of careful analysis and judgment, an organized and planned criminal gang that carried out extortion and extortion surfaced. Xiao xx, Yang xx, Dong xx, 3 people used the female QQ avatar to impersonate the "goddess", took the initiative to find the victim to add friends to chat, in the chat process through language seduction, send pornographic pictures, videos and other ways to induce the victim to "naked chat", and the victim "naked chat" process was filmed, and at the same time sent a mobile phone APP link containing a Trojan virus to lure the victim to download and register, in order to steal the victim's address book information. Once the above process is completed, the "goddess" immediately becomes a "demon", and constantly threatens and blackmails the victim by sending a "naked chat" video to threaten the victim and verbal abuse. Liu Moumou is responsible for using Alipay account numbers, bank cards, etc. to accept the victim's transfer of money and carry out diversion "money laundering". With the above means, since 2020, the gang has extorted more than 10 people from Anhui, Heilongjiang, Guangxi and other places on the Internet, and the value of the case is more than 1 million yuan.

According to the police, it turned out that Xiao X had been lured into working in a foreign "naked chat" extortion gang, Yang X and Dong X had been extorted for "naked chat", and the 3 people were familiar with the process, speech and threat methods of implementing "naked chat" extortion. As former "victims", they did not choose the weapon of law to protect themselves, but also committed the crime of extortion.

As of October 11, Xiao and others have been transferred for prosecution by the public security organs for suspected extortion and extortion, and the case is under further trial.
