Others have strange fears, such as being afraid of walking at night, afraid of a particular animal, afraid of eating something, afraid of listening to a certain sound, and so on. In short, a "afraid" word is estimated to be able to cause strong resonance in the hearts of many people. However, although there is always such and such fear, as age and insight grow, with the eyes of grown up, some people inevitably feel childish and ridiculous.
Studies have shown that the so-called fear is actually a kind of self-prevention and self-protection psychology that people have when facing difficulties and dangers. Generally speaking, there are two kinds of fear, one is because of the unknown, unfamiliar with the things in front of you or imaginary things, do not understand, amplify their threats, highlight their harm, so as to retreat, as if at a loss; the other is because of reverence, worried that poor handling will bring adverse consequences, betray everyone's trust, so cautious and nervous. These two kinds of fear, the former are mostly mental, imaginary, strange forces in the mind, and difficulties and obstacles in the senses, all belong to this category. The latter is more of a material and concrete existence, such as so-and-so, so-and-so behemoth, or although it does not exist concretely, it is also an objective existence that is not subject to human will, such as reverence for history, reverence for the people, reverence for nature, and so on.
Communists come from the people and are rooted in the people, they do not live in a vacuum, and of course they are afraid of dealing with people, and they should also be afraid. However, as advanced elements armed with the advanced theory of Marxism and whose fundamental purpose is to serve the people wholeheartedly, the fear of communists should be reverence, respect, and concern, not anything else. Comrade Mao Zedong once said that I, a person, cannot hear the cries of the poor and poor people, and when I see them shedding tears, I cannot help but shed tears, referring to this kind of fear; Comrade Deng Xiaoping said that Communists are "afraid of the party first, the masses second, and the democratic parties third, and it is always better", which also refers to this kind of fear. Today, the Party Central Committee's demand that all party comrades uphold the supremacy of the people, respect history, fear the people, and fear nature, and that party members and cadres have the mind and consciousness to take the initiative to accept supervision are actually the continuation of this fear.
However, in reality, some party members and cadres are not afraid of these things, they should not be afraid of them, but they should be afraid of them, and as a result, in the face of difficulties and problems, they are clamoring and cowering, or they "hide in small buildings to become unified," and they do not know where to go, or they are full of complaints, pointing at mulberries and scolding, or simply surrendering their weapons and surrendering, and they have become "accomplices" in difficulties and problems. On the contrary, he has no fear for the people and power, thinks that he is "the first in the world of Lao Tzu", is selfish and selfish, does whatever he wants, and uses the power that should be for the benefit of the people for his own selfishness, and as a result, he embarks on the road of no return, leaving endless regrets, which makes people sigh and sigh.
Since the beginning of this year, due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic and other factors, the world situation has undergone many unexpected changes, and there has been a large number of sudden, premeditated, emotional and confrontational events. In the face of all kinds of unprovoked "throwing pots", accusations, slanders and even attacks, in the face of various provocations, incidents, troubles and even persecutions created by ulterior motives, coupled with the temporary difficulties facing China's economic and social development under the influence of the epidemic, a small number of party members and cadres are terrified and panicked. There are those who turn a blind eye and prefer to be "ostriches", those who are full of food all day and do nothing, those who are irresponsible and insulting, and even those who echo each other and create rumors and stir up trouble. All these things, first of all, are unnecessary and insufficient, and those involving violations of discipline and law must be dealt with severely.
After the founding of New China, when Comrade Mao Zedong met with Du Bois and His wife and Ms. Strong at the East Lake Guest House in Wuchang, he also discussed "fear and fear." In the face of Du Bois's doubts about "why Chinese are not so afraid of war", Comrade Mao Zedong replied: If imperialism must start a war, what is the use of your fear? Whether you are afraid or not, the war will come anyway, and the more you are afraid, the sooner the war may come sooner. If you think about the problem in this way, you will not be afraid. The implication is that in the face of difficulties and threats, it is useless to be afraid, but it is not afraid, and the problem may not necessarily come to the door. It can be seen that in the face of difficulties, threats, and challenges, we Communists are not afraid of heaven and earth. And, not being afraid is not only a spirit, but also a methodology for us to cope with challenges.
We should be in awe and fear of the people who were born and raised, and we should be afraid of the land where we were born and raised; we should not compromise or fear the difficulties and challenges, especially those imposed by the outside world, and we should dare to struggle, be good at struggle, and win victory in struggle.
