At that time, there were comrades Xu Yansun, Wang Shuhui, Mo Lang and Bu Xiaohuai in the society, which could be described as a brilliant star and a gathering of masters of the Northern Sect.
Influenced by his father Liu Kuiling, Liu Jijie's animal painting level is very high, and can integrate Chinese and Western painting techniques, all kinds of subjects are involved, "Mr. Dongguo" is his representative work of classical themes.
The story of Mr. Dongguo must be familiar to everyone, the pedantic Mr. Dongguo in order to save the wolf, the wolf will take revenge. The story of the farmer and the snake in Aesop's fable coincides with his story.
When it was said that during the Warring States period, there was a teacher, and everyone called him Mr. Dongguo, who was kind-hearted. His students have their own dreams, and he teaches them to be good people no matter what they do.
Usually, he didn't even dare to step on ants, and mosquitoes didn't dare to shoot.
"What are these people doing?" "Go to war with Zhongshanguo"
Zhao Jianzi, the commander of the army, was also an apprentice of Mr. Dongguo in the past, so he went to Xingshi to ask for guilt.
After a few days, everyone was putting on a lantern, and it turned out that Zhao Guo had won the battle and was still carrying a ding to celebrate.
Someone reported that Mr. Dongguo and Zhao Jianzi were killing the people.
It turned out that Zhao Jianzi was just leading soldiers to kill wolves and eliminate harm for the people.
A wounded wolf fled.
Mr. Dongguo's donkey froze, so he had to talk to the wolf.
"Report Lord Zhao, the footprints disappeared here, I'm afraid they are hidden nearby."
The soldiers wanted to see if there were wolves in the bag.
The donkey ran away in fright.
Mr. Dongguo and the wolf circled each other, agreeing that if the three elders all agreed to the wolf eating him, he would sit still.
The old tree was dreaming that when he was young, many people were eating his fruitful fruit, so he said:

The old woman found the culprit who ate her own child, and the soldier cut his hair and teeth out of the wolf's belly, and it was a lie not to eat people.
Since then, Mr. Dongguo has understood the principle of "eliminating evil and doing everything possible".
The story is very simple, in addition to appreciating Liu Lao's masterpieces, I have a few thoughts:
1. What is the story of Mr. Dongguo's era? Is it just a simple folk fable?
Judging from the character of Zhao Jianzi, he is the father of the founder of the Warring States Zhao State, so it should happen at the time of the Spring and Autumn period and the border of the Warring States.
Interestingly, this story is not from contemporary works such as Zhuangzi, but from the "Legend of the Wolf in Zhongshan" written by Ma Zhongxi in the Ming Dynasty:
At that time, Li Mengyang, a talented man, attacked the powerful eunuch Liu Jin and was arrested by Liu Jin. And Li's friend Kang Hai, in order to save Li, put down the discipline, broke his eyebrows and bent his waist to join Liu Jin's faction, Liu Jin liked Kang Hai, so Li Mengyang was spared. Later, when the eunuch Liu fell, Kang Hai was implicated in persecution, and Li Mengyang was reused by the imperial court, and he not only did not repay kang Hai who was killed, but even showed contempt.
Ma Zhongxi, as their teacher, saw that Li Mengyang was so ungrateful and angry in his heart, so he had "The Legend of the Wolf in Zhongshan". The original work is rich in detail and pungent in writing, and it is best to satirize the events of the time. Over the years, it has become a simple children's fable - the story of Mr. DongGuo.
2. Why is Mr. Dongguo called Dongguo, and is it related to Mr. Nanguo? And Mr. Xi Guo and Mr. Bei Guo?
The descendants of the Duke Huan of Qi in the Spring and Autumn Period lived in the outer city at that time (outside the inner city wall, inside the outer city wall), which was called "Guo", and the eastern side of the Guo was called DongGuo, the western side was called Xiguo, and so on. Mr. Dongguo in the story is a native of Chengdong, and now everyone knows why someone is surnamed Ximen haha.
Of course, there is also a clever "Mr. Dongguo" in history.
When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Wei Qing made a battle merit, and the emperor rewarded him with gold. Mr. Dongguo was in a humble position at the time, and he advised Wei Qing that "the emperor's new favorite, Lady Wang, would be better off giving half of the reward to Lady Wang's parents." Wei Qing did so, and Lady Wang was very happy and told Emperor Wu, and Emperor Wu of Han said: Wei Qing does not have this brain, there must be someone to point out. After finding out that it was Mr. Dongguo's idea, he was promoted to his official. It seems that Mr. Dongguo's so-called must have benefits is his own benefit.
"Mr. Nanguo", which everyone is familiar with, is the origin of the idiom indiscriminately.
"Mr. Beiguo" itself is an idiom, the Han Dynasty "Han Shi Wai Biography" has recorded, the King of Chuzhuang asked Mr. Beiguo to be an official, he refused, so "Mr. Beiguo" later specifically referred to the hermit.
"Mr. Xiguo", the Ming Dynasty Feng Congwu's "Biography of Mr. Xiguo" mentioned, this is a high-spirited, broad-minded gaoshi. He simply lived in Xiguo in Chang'an, hence the name.
