From the identity of a student to a teacher, from a young person listening to books in the classroom to a teacher who accompanies groups of students to grow up, there are too many tips to get along with children in learning and work that need to be carefully explored. He found that although the children's personalities are generally introverted, after long-term contact, everyone has a burning curiosity in their hearts, and once they encounter something of interest in learning, they will actively seek guidance and answers from teachers and parents.

He often said: "If you want to light this fire, you must not rely on stereotypical preaching, but on caring for them from the bottom of your heart and becoming a big friend who can be relied on in your study life." ”

Seeing the smiles on the children's faces getting more and more sunny, he realized a simple but precious truth in children's education: "Every child on campus is my own child." Based on the current situation that the foundation of rural education is relatively weak and the awareness of aesthetic education is weak, Principal Yu's greatest expectation for students is that they can go out of the mountains with their own efforts and see for themselves how wonderful and vast the outside world is. While making full use of the existing conditions on campus to create a comfortable and beautiful learning space for children, he also introduced various excellent public welfare education resources by virtue of his grasp of children's personality, so that the colorful aesthetic education and physical education curriculum resources became a playground for children to release their nature after class.

Children have fun, they will learn carefully, and the extracurricular activities that they once dared not expect are the light of hope that led them out of the mountains - from 2013 to 2018, as the principal of Yangsi Complete Primary School and Golden Giant Energy School, in just five years, he started from the sports public welfare project and created a "National Youth Football Characteristic School" and a "National Soft Baseball and Softball Experimental School". In 2019, Yu Mingwang, who was the principal of Golden Giant School at the time, became acquainted with the "Bazaar After School Hour" aesthetic education public welfare project through the public welfare resource promotion of the county education bureau.

Encourage students to read independently and dare to read aloud; encourage teachers to read after class and extend reading; encourage everyone to walk into the Basha classroom and fall in love with the classroom, and teachers and students to create a beautiful reading environment, which has become a reading goal set by Principal Yu and all teachers and students.

The reading of picture books is full of fun, the feeling of beauty embraces the heart, and the seeds of interest take root and sprout in the heart. Reading more books, children's language skills and writing skills have been improved simultaneously. At the teaching meeting, the Chinese teacher gave him feedback many times, and the children who always "wandered outside the sky" in the class gradually returned to God, and the weekly essay also rose from four or five lines of words to gradually transform into a narrative short essay with a desire for expression.

Peer guidance, teacher encouragement, home-school connection, reading is no longer the hard bone in the hearts of children, every day the necessary reading punch time in school, casually walk into a classroom, you can see children reading their beloved books with great interest.

Children recognize beauty, understand beauty, and then create beauty through art means. This fun-filled reading space is also the starting point for children to write Ma Liang.

Outside the daily art class, Principal Yu encouraged the teachers to lead the students to do more and create more, and share the reading and learning results in the form of art.

In the second grade reading class, the Chinese teacher played the picture book story of "My Daddy" - when we accidentally fell, Dad's arms were always firmly caught, and Dad was like sunshine and harbor, guarding all the time. Riding on the wings of art, the magical, omnipotent, stern, gentle dad jumped on the paper. This painting also became a holiday greeting card given to their father by the children.

New starting point, grow together

In 2021, Principal Yu, who was transferred to Taiping School, once again joined the warm classroom of "Bazaar After School Hour" as an old friend.

A new journey of aesthetic education is unfolding ahead.

Combined with the aesthetic education experience accumulated in the previous "Bazaar After Class Hour", Principal Yu combined the reading recitation punch card with the school radio room according to local conditions, and created a "Red Scarf Radio Station" tailored for the children. In order to cultivate the children's sharing habits, the whole school class is in the form of punch cards, daily "shifts", dedicated to the time. For sharing content, he does not make too many restrictions, children can share their favorite picture book stories, novel fragments, but also can recite classic masterpieces, prose poems.

Reading aloud fosters courage and sharing is a joy. A simple radio room is a spiritual comfort for children to devote themselves to the beauty of reading. Gradually, the children's sharing space increased from one article to two or three articles... Many middle and senior children reluctantly leave the radio room every day; at regular class meetings, there are always children who apply to the teacher in a playful manner, hoping that the daily broadcast time can be a little more, and they also want to hear more and more interesting stories.

Sometimes, Principal Yu would also "raid" the radio station and ask the children about their reading experience: Do you like the current decoration of the radio room? Is the microphone easy to use? If you add some small decorations, what do you want to put... Every child's feedback, he will carefully write it down and adjust it in time.

"You see, I'm going to put a special logo on the radio station right away, and add two chairs, so that there is a more reading atmosphere, and the stories shared by children are relatively long, so I won't get tired when I sit and read!" In his opinion, there are still many places that must be renovated: "Every child in the school (no matter where it is) is my child, and the school is my home." My responsibility is to make the children better and better, and to make the 'home' change little by little. ”

While waiting for the official opening of the Basha classroom, he was looking forward to the development of art classes in school. At present, the higher level of painting in the school is only a few middle and senior students who have the conditions for further study, and there are still some deficiencies in the cognitive ability and basic skills of art in the lower grades, but with the advancement of the teaching of the double-teacher art live class, he hopes that more and more children can pick up the paintbrush in their hands and depict the beautiful and moving scenery in their growth.
