This afternoon, the third lecture of "Delicious on the Tip of the Tongue - Concocting Home-Cooked Western Food" and the series of activities of the 2020 Community Neighbor Festival in Beijing Street were lively in the calligraphy and painting room on the third floor of the Party and Group Service Center on Beijing Street!
In order to allow the neighbors who love food culture to make their own Western-style meals at home and feel the delicious taste brought by foreign food, Beijing Street Culture Station, Yuexiu District Community Education College Beijing Branch, Yuexiu District Community Education College Beijing Branch, Yuexiu District Library Beijing Branch, Yuexiu District Culture Center Beijing Street Branch jointly held the "Delicious on the Tip of the Tongue - Concocting Home-Cooked Western Food" and the 2020 Beijing Street Community Neighborhood Festival series of activities, inviting Mr. Cen who graduated from Soth Metropolitan TAFE in Australia. Teach everyone how to concoct a delicious home-cooked Western food course.
In the first two courses, Mr. Shum taught the neighbors how to make "cheese beef burger", "potato salad", "garlic cream bacon spaghetti" and "grilled garlic chicken wings". Mr. Cen's exquisite cooking skills and eloquence make the content of the two lessons very exciting.
In the third class held today, Mr. Shum taught the neighbors how to make "fragrant mushroom soup" and "sausage broccoli eggplant sauce spaghetti". Due to the relatively tight course time, in order to facilitate more neighbors to learn after class, Mr. Cen specifically wrote out the western food practices, so that everyone can record it well, improve their cooking skills, and enjoy the joy of cooking and sharing food.
Sausage broccoli tomato sauce spaghetti
material:
2 cloves of garlic, 50g of onion, 50g of sausage, 100g of broccoli, 250g of spaghetti, 5g of basil leaves, 20g of parmesan cheese powder, 400g/can of peeled tomatoes, salt and black pepper to taste
method:
1、 Slice the garlic, chop the onion, cut the broccoli into small pieces;
2, boil a pot of boiling water, put in the sausage to cook for two minutes, fish out and then cut into pieces, add salt to the water and put in the spaghetti to cook for 10 minutes, and then put in the broccoli for two minutes to cook together, after cooking, put aside the water and set aside;
3, hot pot, put in the sausage to fry to color, put the onion shredded stir-fry thoroughly, put in the garlic slices to stir-fry, put in the broccoli stir-fry, pour in the tomato canned and add a jar of boiling juice, add spaghetti stir-fry well, add salt and black pepper powder to taste, sprinkle cheese powder and mix well, plate, basil leaf decoration.
Fragrant mushroom soup
Ingredients: 300g of white mushrooms, 300g of fresh shiitake mushrooms, 150g of shredded onion, 10g of thyme, 100ml of cream, 20g of butter, salt to taste
1, onion shredded, mushrooms and mushrooms one open two;
2, medium heat pot, melt the butter, add onion shreds and fry thoroughly, add mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms stir-fry fragrant, add thyme stir-fry, add water to cover the mushrooms and cook for 30 minutes;

From purchasing materials, dividing materials, demonstration to production, Mr. Cen has always been attentive and patiently guided; and the neighbors have also learned carefully, while watching Mr. Cen's demonstration, while making detailed records, and asking questions to Mr. Cen from time to time. Teacher Cen also gave detailed answers to these questions one by one.
"When teaching to the neighbors, the lecture speed is relatively slow, and I deliberately choose some dishes with common ingredients and common kitchen utensils to share, so that the neighbors can learn to do it themselves when they return home." The neighbors are very enthusiastic, often asking where to buy this ingredient and utensils; how to operate the specific steps, what the details are; and how to judge how the ingredients are seen to see if they have been cooked for enough time. Teacher Cen said.
"I came specifically to attend this cooking class. I think the teacher has the taste of teaching, and the teaching process is very attractive and patient. I tried to cook it once when I went home after the first class, but considering my husband's physical condition, I cut the amount of mushrooms in half, replaced the reduced mushrooms with tomatoes, and improved them into a healthier, more suitable dish. Neighbor Luo Yuyun shared.
