After arriving in Xiangxian County, he quickly cut through the chaos, and with the mind of a politician, he quickly changed the appearance of Xiangxian County. From the qing guangxu version of the "Records of Continuing to Repair The County", we can see that Li Yuzhen, who has passed the age of confusion, does have great political courage, rectifying the chaos, cleaning up the underworld, controlling floods, opening education, opening warehouses for disaster relief, and soon establishing his own image, and won the support of the common people, and it is precisely because of this that he was promoted to the first rank by the imperial court and is a Zhi County with the title of Zhi Prefecture, which explains why the inscription is Zhizhou instead of Zhixian.

In the Qing Dynasty, Zhixian was the official governor of a county, Zhengqipin, equivalent to the current county party secretary, and Zhizhou should be one level higher than Zhixian, which shows that Li Yuzhen at that time was proud of the spring breeze and had a bright career.

If it were not for the accidental burning of the Imperial Palace, perhaps Li Yuzhen would have been drowned in the words of history like other Zhixian, and it was precisely the reconstruction of the Imperial Palace that closely linked him to the tourism of the county.

How beautiful it would be if the world had always been so windy and sunny, but what Li Yuzhen did not expect was that a life-threatening disaster was quietly coming towards him.

In 1853, the Taiping Army general Lin Fengxiang's troops marched to the Northern Expedition, reaching Changzhi, Lucheng, and Licheng. On August 24, the Xiangtang was laid down and surrounded the county town, and the county ordered Li Yuzhen to lead the garrison and nearly a thousand people to resist desperately. The Taiping Army broke through the city, Li Yuzhen came down from the city, led the crowd to fight with the Taiping Army in the city streets, and for a while, the streets were full of corpses. In the end, Li Yuzhen and more than 50 of his entourage were captured and killed in the eggplant field outside the city.

This passage published in the "Chronicle of The County" makes our hearts shrink tightly. After Li Yuzhen was martyred in office, the Tongzhi Emperor issued a decree: "Posthumously establish a special shrine in the place of death and the place of origin of Li Yuzhen in Henan County."
