Chen Hongshou (1768-1822), a native of Qiantang (present-day Hangzhou, Zhejiang), was a calligrapher, painter and seal engraver. Zi Gong, Man Sheng, Man Gong, Man Gong, Gong Shou, Wing Cup, Seed Yu Xian Official, Seed Yu Xianke, Jia Gu Pavilion Chief, Old Man and so on. He once served as Ganyu Daizhi County, Liyang Zhi County, and Jiangnan Haiphong Tongzhi. Its works of poetry, calligraphy and painting, good at making Yixing purple sand pot, people call its pot "Mansheng pot". Calligraphy is longer than lines, grasses, seals, and subordinates. The line of books is steep and elegant, the branches of the book are opened vertically and horizontally, and there is a Qing generation in a single step. Seal engraver Fa Qin Han seal, side by side ding jing, Huang Yi and other people, the ink strokes are folded squarely, bold with a knife, natural and casual, sharp edges are revealed, ancient clumsiness is arbitrary, and the sky is thick. It is one of the "Eight Houses of Xiling".
