On June 21, the protection and restoration project of the former residence of revolutionary martyr Ji Zhentong cang county began construction.

Ji Zhentong is a native of Wolf'erkou Village, Zhangguantun Township, Cangxian County. In 1931, he led the famous Ningdu Uprising and led more than 17,000 officers and men of the Kuomintang 26th Route Army to join the Red Army, which is of great historical significance to the revolution of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. The conservation and restoration project is planned to be carried out in two phases. The first phase of the project will restore the main body of the former residence, and preserve the historical original appearance and architectural characteristics of the cultural relics as authentically and completely as possible, and protect the traces of historical information left by the martyrs. The second phase of the project is extended on this basis.

This restoration specifically sought the opinion of Ms. Ji Pingling, the daughter of Ji Zhentong. At the same time, the relevant departments of Cangxian County will also extensively collect relevant materials of Ji Zhentong's martyrs, strive to restore the old appearance of the former residence, plan and design according to the original style, and protect the red relics as much as possible. After the completion of the renovation of the former residence, the relevant local departments will also strengthen the protection of the former residence of Ji Zhentong martyr, rationally use it, enrich the archives, and enrich the cultural connotation and cultural landscape of the former residence of the revolutionary martyrs.
