On the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Party, the "Chinese Nightingale", which is well-known in the world music scene, will have a dialogue across time and space with Huang Zi, a patriotic composer, music theorist and educator born in Chuansha Neishidi, Pudong, in a beautiful voice.
The reporter learned from the Shanghai Oriental Art Center that the world-famous lyrical flower soprano Dilibair will hold a solo concert at the Dongyi Concert Hall on May 29. After successfully performing many classic roles and receiving countless praise around the world, Dilibair, who was born in Xinjiang, said that his greatest wish was to often return to China to sing, share with the audience the glory of the Chinese, and achieve the good story of "migratory birds returning home, nightingales returning to their nests".
Dilibair, who became famous in the 1980s, is an "early witness" of the "combination of East and West" in the Chinese vocal music industry. She once confidently said that whether it is Chinese art songs, folk songs, or foreign operas and art songs, as long as you grasp the style and interpret it with a singing method that conforms to its style and language, there is nothing to "fight". Many Chinese singers use Western bel canto singing to sing Chinese songs, but the most direct feeling to the audience is vague, let alone style and performance, but Dilibair can perfectly combine the two, in her own words, "the national people come home, and the foreign songs go home."
In Dongyi's concert, she will open with Handel's "Heartfelt Thanks" and as a life soloist at the Finnish National Opera, she will sing "Ode to Finland". Subsequent repertoire also includes Schubert's representative works "Ode to the Virgin" and "Happiness", the Romantic classics "If My Poetry Has Wings", "When I Dream" and "Cadiz Girl".
In the second half, Dilibair moved Chinese poetry to the temple of music. Huang Zi's five songs, "Flowers Not Flowers", "Dotted Lips, Fu Deng Lou", "Spring Thoughts", "Homesickness" and "West Lake After the Rain", will compete to "bloom". Among them, "West Lake After the Rain" is a representative work of Huang Zi's art song sketches, "Flowers Are Not Flowers", "Dian Dai Lip • Fu Deng Lou" will show the classical poetic world of Tang poetry and Song Poetry, and "Spring Reflections" and "Homesickness" will let the audience listen to the spontaneous and self-reliant musical awakening power of the Republic of China period. In the 1930s, these emotionally expressive songs were widely sung as soon as they came out, and Diribair's beautiful singing voice will interpret their enduring artistic vitality in the new era.
