Wu Xue
Wu Xue, a native of Mengcheng, Bozhou City, Anhui Province, is a director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and a member of the Creation Committee of the China Book Association.
He began his career in July 1982 and joined the Party in December 1984. He once served as the vice chairman of the Anhui Provincial Book Association, the vice chairman of the Anhui Provincial Calligraphy and Painting Association, and the vice chairman of the Anhui Youth Book Association. He is currently the chairman of the Anhui Provincial Federation of Literature and Literature.
He graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Anhui University in July 1982.
From July 1982 to April 1991, he worked in the Propaganda Department of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee, successively serving as a deputy section inspector and a section inspector.
From April 1991 to September 2001, he successively served as the deputy director and director of the office of the Anhui Provincial Federation of Literature and Literature. During this period, from November 1994 to November 1996, he served as the deputy secretary of the Lixin County Party Committee of Anhui Province.
In September 2001, he was appointed secretary of the Secretariat of the Anhui Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and a member of the Party Group.
In October 2006, he was appointed vice chairman of the Anhui Provincial Federation of Literature and Literature, secretary of the Secretariat, and member of the Party Group.
In February 2010, he was appointed as the vice mayor of Chuzhou Municipal People's Government.
On December 27, 2014, Wu Xue was elected as the chairman of the Anhui Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
In November 2016, he was elected as a member of the 10th Plenary Committee of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
In January 2019, he was elected as the new chairman of the Anhui Calligraphers Association.

Wu Xue's calligraphy is known for its strong and broad physique, and in terms of structure, it is laid out with the characteristics of the front of the Yan body calligraphy, and at the same time, it combines the characteristics of Su Dongpo's calligraphy with a dense body, giving people a sense of serenity and modesty, and at the same time, there is no lack of aesthetic characteristics of wide and easy to walk and dense. The advantage of the positive posture is stability, and to do this must be based on solid stroke skills, so at the beginning and end of the stroke, we can see that Wu Xue is created by the seal calligraphy, which coincides with Yan Zhenqing's creation method. We appreciate his eight-strip screen work, and we can feel his overwhelming momentum and the layout of the virtual and real changes, with a clear aesthetic choice. In fact, Wu Xue has a good study of the calligraphy of the Song Sijia, and Wu Xue's use of the sharpness in the pen and the undertaking of the upper and lower gestures are all borrowed from the writing characteristics of Mi Fu. If Wu Xue's large-character works are the inheritance of Deng Shiru's writing style that advocates the momentum of the pen, then Wu Xue's small calligraphy works have the shadow of Haipai calligraphy, the refinement of Shen Yinmo and the freedom of white bananas.
This is a two-way strategy, that is, to form its own calligraphic characteristics in the Shangli and Shangyi. Another feature of Wu Xue's calligraphy is that the choice of chapters and materials used is unique. We can also see Wu Xue's wisdom from this. This is also a bright color of his calligraphy while still liking and still meaning, but also revealing a bright color of shang interest. Rich experience and calligraphy exploration, so that Wu Xue in the practice of calligraphy more attention to the inheritance and creation of the symbiotic relationship, because of this, Wu Xue also put a lot of work in the Lishu, jianjian with the pen, the spread of the cloth, so that his Lishu also gradually has its own face, and its cursive complement each other, reflect each other. If we compare Wu Xue's writing style, then he is somewhat close to the characteristics of Du Fu's poetry, deep and majestic, implicit and introverted. This is also similar to Wu Xue's personality. Wu Xue's personality is not ostentatious, but his heart is very high, and he refuses to be a queen.
Wu Xue is rapidly improving his calligraphy, and the recent solo calligraphy exhibition held at the Anhui Museum is a new height of his calligraphy, which is not exaggerated by summarizing it with a variety of styles, unique intentions, momentum, and refreshing. So I began to look forward to and wait for the release of Wu Xuexin's works, whose works will make the "New Anhui School" calligraphy appear more powerful, and because of his unique position, it will play an important role in promoting the progress of Anhui calligraphy.
