From October 14 to 16, Director Liu Yuan led a team to Beijing to participate in the national advanced commendation activities for the Taiwan work system.
On the morning of October 15, Director Liu Yuan attended the National Commendation Meeting for the Work Toward Taiwan Held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, and Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended and delivered a speech, congratulating the commended advanced collectives and individuals in the work toward Taiwan on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping, and encouraging everyone to cherish the honor, redouble their efforts, and create new achievements on the new journey. The Service Center for Taiwan Economic Development in Jiyang District, Jinan City, Our Province, was awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Collective in the National Taiwan Work System", and Liu Bing, chief of the Taiwan Affairs Section of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Huangdao District CPC Committee of Qingdao City, was awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Individual in the National Taiwan Work System".
During the meeting, Director Liu Yuan also participated in the exchange forum organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the activities such as going to the Memorial Square of the Unsung Heroes in Xishan in Beijing to commemorate the heroic martyrs, met with Zhang Zhijun, president of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, and leaders of relevant bureaus of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, reported on the recent cross-strait meeting and awarding ceremony for the construction of the new and old kinetic energy conversion industrial cooperation zone between the two sides of the strait and the 2021 cross-strait agricultural forum, and introduced the cross-strait modern industrial cooperation conference to be held in Qingdao in mid-November.
Han Yongjun, director of the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jinan City, and Ji Jiadong, director of the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Qingdao City, attended the relevant activities.
