Walker used his financial talents to carry out some financial activities in addition to underground work, earning a total of more than 420,000 Hong Kong dollars (about 4200 gold) before and after, he gave all the money to the organization as activity funds, he did not keep a point, and usually lived a very poor life.
3. Before going to the Liberated Areas in 1945, Walker gave the Liberated Areas a generous gift: up to 540 boxes of explosives in five trucks, and 194 machine guns.
Because of the theft of the Kuomintang's defense map of the Yangtze River and Shanghai, Walker's situation in Shanghai became dangerous, and the party organization decided to let Walker move to the Liberated Areas.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the situation in Shanghai at that time was that "the Japanese Kou wanted to go for a while, the Chiang Kai-shek army wanted to come for a while, it was too late, Wang Fei ordered not to go out, but the New Fourth Army could not accept it when it arrived at the outskirts of Shanghai."
