On the afternoon of September 24, Dai Zhen, member of the Suqian Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and director of the Sixth Procuratorial Department of the Municipal Procuratorate, and Wang Lifang, deputy director of the Sixth Procuratorial Department of the Municipal Procuratorate, went to Sucheng District to investigate and guide the work of xiangxian public interest litigation observers. Zhou Rui, director of the Culture, Literature, History and Study Committee of the SUCHENG District CPPCC Committee, and Zhang Wu, deputy secretary of the party group of the Sucheng District Procuratorate, accompanied the investigation.
The research team and his party successively went to the Suqian Branch of Nanshifu Middle School, Jiudu Cultural Park, Yanhengli Characteristic Block, Yangsihong Cemetery, Dongguankou Park, and the five Xiangxian Public Interest Litigation Observer Inspection Points, as well as the Shuangzhuang Street and Gucheng Street Xiangxian Public Interest Litigation Observer Workstations to conduct field research, and talked with the Xiangxian observers to understand the situation of public welfare inspection, clue provision, and work difficulties. The guiding prosecutor also conducted on-site training for the township sage observers.
Since the implementation of the public interest litigation observer system this year, the public interest litigation case handling team of the Sucheng District People's Court and the xiangxian public interest litigation observers have actively linked up and successfully handled a number of influential cases such as the "Basic Farmland Fish Farming Case" and the "Luoma Lake Fresh False Advertising Case", and the relevant practices have been reported by the "Procuratorial Daily" and other media.
In the next step, the Sucheng District Procuratorate will continue to actively give full play to the advantages of the main urban area, focus on practical innovation, and continuously display innovative achievements and enhance the influence of work by improving the construction of mechanisms and handling typical cases, so as to create a sample of Sucheng city of the Xiangxian public interest litigation observer system.
