And strengthen departmental linkage, the implementation of differentiated emergency control, do not engage in one-size-fits-all. As of December 31, 2020, the number of heavily polluted days in Yantai City was 2 days a year, which was significantly less than the 9 days in 2019.

At the press conference, Xu Shigang, deputy director of the Yantai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, introduced that due to adverse meteorological conditions, in 2020, Yantai launched a total of 7 heavy pollution emergency responses, especially in December, 4 heavy pollution emergency responses were launched. During the emergency response period, a total of 14,596 law enforcement supervisors were dispatched, 7,243 enterprises were inspected, and 3,276 construction sites were inspected. More than 19,610 vehicles of various types were inspected, and 776 violations of large vehicles were investigated and punished.

During the emergency response period, the ecological environment, public security, housing construction, urban management, transportation and other heavy pollution emergency member units, braving the wind and snow, braved the cold, gave up holidays and night rest, and continued to carry out law enforcement inspections; many key emission enterprises voluntarily adopted methods such as reducing production load, improving pollution control efficiency, and staggering peak production to minimize pollutant emissions and support heavy pollution weather emergency work.

In addition, through the comparative analysis of electricity consumption in the whole society, the electricity consumption of the whole society decreased by an average of 5.89% during the emergency period. Through the analysis of the intelligent control system of enterprise pollutant discharge, the average daily electricity of the 300 key enterprises controlled during the emergency period decreased by 68% compared with the daily level, and various emission reduction measures were basically implemented.

Xu Shigang said that in December, only 2 prefectures and cities in the province did not have heavy pollution weather, including Yantai, which can show that Yantai's heavily polluted weather response work is remarkable.
