1. Cao Cao

Chen Shou recorded in the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms, Wei Shu, and Emperor Wu: "(In the first year of Jian'an), Tianzi worshiped general Taizu Jiande, and in Xia June, he moved to Zhendong as a general and was the Marquis of Fengfeiting. ”

In the first year of Jian'an (196), Cao Cao welcomed Liu Xie, the Emperor of Han, and officially moved the capital to Xuchang. In response, The Han Emperor Liu Xie promoted Cao Cao to the rank of General of Zhendong and made him the Marquis of Feiting. Of course, Cao Cao's appointment as the general of Zhendong was only a transition. Soon after, Emperor Xian of Han made Cao Cao a Sikong (司空) and a che riding general. After this, Cao Cao served as a chancellor and was given the title of Duke of Wei and King of Wei, which undoubtedly laid a good foundation for Cao Pi to usurp Han and establish himself.

Second, Liu Bei

Chen Shou recorded in the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms, Volume 32, Shu Shu II, and The Second Biography of the First Lord: "Yuan Shu came to attack the First Lord, and the First Lord refused to xuyi and Huaiyin. Cao Gongbiao was the general of Zhendong and the Marquis of Yicheng Ting, who was also the first year of Jian'an. ”

In the first year of Jian'an (196), Cao Cao made Liu Bei the General of Zhendong and the Marquis of Yicheng Ting. At that time, Cao Cao had been promoted from general of Zhendong to general of Cheqi. Therefore, Cao Cao could use the official position of general of Zhendong to win Liu Bei over. And this is also an important advantage of holding the Son of Heaven hostage to order the princes. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Liu Bei fought against Yuan Shu and Lü Bu, and Lü Bu and Yuan Shu were both princes that Cao Cao needed to eliminate. On this basis, Liu Bei and Cao Cao naturally formed an alliance to a certain extent.

3. Zhang Ji

Zhang Ji(?) –196), courtesy name unknown, was a native of Zuli County, Wuwei County (in present-day Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province). A prince at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he was the uncle of the Qiang general Zhang Xiu. Zhang Ji was initially a general of Dong Zhuo, and Xiao Yong was good at fighting. After Dong Zhuo was killed, he joined forces with Li Dai to attack Chang'an and became the general of Yulin Zhonglang. In the third year of Chuping (192), Zhang Ji was promoted to the rank of general of Zhendong, and was made the Marquis of Pingyang, and the tun soldier Yu Hongnong. Zhang Ji supported Emperor Xian of Han in moving east and was promoted to the rank of General of the Hussars. Later, because of his discord with Dong Cheng and Yang Feng, he pursued Emperor Xiandi with Li Dai and Guo Feng. In the first year of Jian'an (196), Zhang Ji attacked Yongcheng and was killed by an arrow. After Zhang Ji was killed, the army was taken over by his nephew Zhang Xiu.

Fourth, Zang Ba

Zang Ba (born and died unknown), courtesy name Xuangao, was a native of Hua County, Taishan County (present-day Fangcheng Town, Fei County, Linyi City, Shandong Province), and a famous general of the State of Wei during the Three Kingdoms period. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zang Ba became a knight lieutenant under Tao Qian, responsible for pacifying the Yellow Turban Army. Together with Sun Guan, Yin Li and others, they were stationed in Kaiyang and became a force of their own. In the second year of Jian'an, he led an army to defeat Xiao Jian and occupy Jucheng. This caused Lü Bu to send troops to attack Zang Ba, and the two reconciled.

After Lü Bu was defeated by Cao Cao, Zang Ba, Sun Guan, and others surrendered to Cao Cao and were appointed minister of state of Lang. Zang Ba's battles against Yuan Shao, Sun Quan and other princes during Cao Cao's battles were distinguished by the general Zhendong. After the establishment of Cao Wei, Zang Ba was given the title of Zhi Jinwu (匯金吾) and had 3,000 households. During the reign of Emperor Cao Rui of Wei, he sealed five hundred households and posthumously honored him as "Marquis of Wei".

Fifth, Yiqiu Jian

After the Battle of Dongxing, he moved to Zhendong and the governor of Yangzhou, repelled Fu Zhuge Ke, the taifu of the State of Wu, and added the position of General of Zhendong.

In the second year of Zhengyuan (255), Yiqiu Jian was dissatisfied with the deposing of the Wei emperor Cao Fang and the killing of his friends Xiahou Xuan and Li Feng, so he led his troops westward to fight. However, Yuqiu Jian was defeated by the combined forces of Sima Shi, Deng Ai, Wang Ji, Hu Zun, Zhuge Zhi, Le Qiao, and others, and soon after, Yuqiu Jian was killed on the way to escape.

6. Zhuge Birthday

Zhuge Birthday (?) –258), courtesy name Gongxiu, was a native of Yangdu County, Langya County (琅琊郡; present-day Yinan County, Linyi, Shandong). During the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Wei was a general and after Zhuge Feng, a lieutenant of the Western Han Dynasty. For Zhuge Zhi, he was zhuge jin and Zhuge Liang's brother. During the Three Kingdoms period, the Zhuge family was heavily used in the Three Kingdoms of Wei Shu and Wu.

VII. Wang Ji

Wang Ji (190–261), courtesy name Boyu, was a native of Qucheng County, Donglai County (present-day Zhaoyuan, Shandong). A general of the State of Wei during the Three Kingdoms period, he was posthumously awarded the title of son of King Leopard of the Northern Sea. For Wang Ji, he was undoubtedly a famous general in the late Three Kingdoms period. In 249 AD, Sima Yi launched the Gaopingling Rebellion, and Wang Ji sided with the Sima Yi family. In the second year of Ganlu (257), the general Zhuge Shi of the Eastern Expedition raised an army in Huainan to rebel against Sima Zhao. In response, Wang Ji served as the general of Zhendong in his capacity as the Assassin of Yuzhou, thus assisting Sima Zhao in quelling Zhuge Zhi's rebellion. In the second year of the Reign of Emperor Jingyuan of Wei (261), Wang Ji died at the age of seventy-two, and was given the title of Sikong (司空) with the courtesy name Jing.

VIII. Zhao Yun

Zhao Yun(?) –229), courtesy name Zilong, was a Shōgun of Tokiyama. Eight feet long, with a majestic posture, he was a famous general of the Shu Han Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period. According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms and other historical records, Zhao Yun followed Liu Bei for nearly thirty years, successively participated in the Battle of Bowangpo, the Battle of Changsakapo, and the Battle of Jiangnan Pingding, and single-handedly commanded the Battle of Jinchuan, the Battle of Hanshui, and the Battle of Jigu, all of which achieved very good results. In addition to fighting everywhere, Zhao Yun also successively served as the general of Guiyang Taishou and the general of the Yi Army to oversee Jiangzhou. Moreover, Zhao Yun cited Huo's illness story when he was pacifying Yizhou to advise Liu Bei to return the tian mansion to the people, and after Guan Yu and Zhang Fei were killed, he advised Liu Bei not to cut down Wu, and was praised by later generations as a Confucian general with a chancellor's bureau, and was even considered a perfect figure in the Three Kingdoms period.

Chen Shou recorded in the "Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms And Zhao Yun Biography": "In the first year of Jianxing, he was the general of the Zhonghu Army, the general of Zhengnan, the Marquis of Yongchangting, and the general of Qianzhendong. ”

In 223, after Liu Bei's death, the later lord Liu Chan took the throne, at that time, Zhao Yun was promoted from the general of Zhengnan to the general of Zhendong. In this regard, in the author's opinion, this means that in shu Han, the status of the general of the four towns should be above the general of the four marches, which is exactly the opposite of the situation of Cao Wei.
