At two o'clock in the afternoon today (September 18), on the special day of the 90th anniversary of the 918 Incident, the Anti-Japanese War Museum of Feng Yong University in Liaohe Old Street held the "Seminar on the History of the 918 War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression" held. Nearly 20 people from the people's anti-war history enthusiasts and historians attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the curator of the Anti-Japanese War Museum of Feng Yong University read out an article written by Feng Yong's nephew Zhang Wenqi, a Taiwan compatriot, entitled "The 918 Incident and Feng Yong University", in which it was recorded that Feng Yong, as a person who witnessed the September 18 Incident, was arrested and imprisoned by the Japanese gendarmerie and lived a life of 13 days as a criminal. Later, he was guaranteed by his Japanese friend Hirata Okabe with the assistance of Prince Yongjin to get out of trouble.
Ran Qingxian, a historical researcher at the Feng Yong Museum, recited the poem "The Song of Feng Yong" created this morning.
Liu Yongchun, vice president of the Yingkou Historical Society, used his own collection of pictures and materials to explain the history of the 918 Incident and Yingkou with pictures and texts.
Chen Jie, vice president of the Yingkou Storytelling Society, interpreted some unknown historical facts behind the 918 incident through the form of book commentary.
The participants also conducted in-depth discussions and discussions on this historical outbreak node that made the Chinese people unforgettable and carried forward the spirit of Feng Yong and the spirit of the War of Resistance.
