author:New Historiography

Zhuang Yougong, who was honest all his life, was diligent in his administration and loved the people, and took "diligent administration and love for the people, honesty and self-encouragement" as the way of officials. There are two anecdotes of life, the first one won the list of champions, not demolishing the neighbor's house; the second coincidentally paired with Qianlong

Zhuang Yougong has a reputation as a child prodigy at an early age. His family lived next to the Zhenyue General's Office, and once when he flew a kite to play, the kite happened to fall into the inner courtyard of the General's Office, and Zhuang Yougong directly entered and asked for its return. All the servants thought he was young and ignored him, and did not have time to stop him from entering.

The general happened to be playing chess with the guest, and seeing that his mental state was different, he asked him, "Where did the child come from?" Zhuang You replied honestly: "It's right next door to your house." The general asked, "Have you read any books?" Ever learned pairs? Zhuang Yougong replied, "Yes, little meaning, what is so difficult?" The general asked, "Can you pair up a few words?" Zhuang Yougong replied: "One word can be right, and a hundred words can be right." The general thought he was bragging, so he pointed to the paintings posted in the hall and asked him to make a pair, saying: "The old paintings are a church, the dragon does not groan, the tiger does not roar, the flowers do not smell, the fragrant birds do not bark, and it is ridiculous to see this boy." Zhuang Yougong said, "It is a game of chess here that you can be right." Yingsheng replied: "Half a game of chess, the car has no wheels, the horse has no saddle, the cannon has no smoke, the fire pawn has no food, and the general who cheers is on guard." ”
