Zhuangzi Qishu, Wenzhe Combined, Chinese Excellent

The first edition of Zhuangzi Fuyuan, published in 2010, has seen the price of second-hand books soar a hundredfold in the past ten years, reaching a maximum of eight or nine thousand yuan, because of this book, I am called "the most expensive living writer of second-hand books" by readers. Because second-hand books were too expensive, there were a large number of pirated copies, and even a large number of manuscripts.

The reason why zhuangzi fuyuan is so sought after by readers is that for 1,700 years everyone has read the deleted and tampered version of Zhuangzi compiled by Guo Xiang of the Western Jin Dynasty. I ruled Zhuangzhuang for forty years and restored two major versions of Guo Xiang before the Western Jin Dynasty: one is the initial version of Zhuangzi in the late Warring States period, and the other is the complete version of Zhuangzi in the early Western Han Dynasty.

This is the true Zhuangzi read by Xun Quan, Han Fei, Lü Buwei, Jia Yi, Sima Qian, Yang Xiong, Ji Kang, and Ruan Shu before Guo Xiang, which is completely different from the pseudo-Zhuangzi read by Tao Yuanming, Li Bai, Su Dongpo, Jin Shengsi, Lu Xun, and Guo Moruo after Guo Xiang. Because all the annotations of "Zhuangzi" after Guo Xiang are pseudo-Zhuangzi that Guo Xiang has manipulated.

Although Guo Xiang's version of the pseudo-Zhuangzi caused serious damage to the real Zhuangzi, it still has wonderful fragments that all other Chinese books do not have, and has won the love of countless people. This proves from the opposite side that "Zhuangzi" is of the highest quality as a Chinese masterpiece.

"Zhuangzi Fuyuan" restores the two major historical versions of Guo Xiang's predecessors, and proves from the front that "Zhuangzi" is the best Chinese for the combination of literature and philosophy. In the temple of human culture, Zhuangzi is also the supreme invincible existence.

This year's "Zhuangzi Restoration" and the other two books published last year are combined into my three books of Zhuang Xue. The first edition of Zhuang Xue's three books came out more than ten years ago. From last year to this year, Tianxi Culture launched a revised version of Zhuang Xue's three books, which is much better than the first edition more than a decade ago.

The three books of Zhuang Xue have their own key points, corresponding to Zhuangzi Qiren, Zhuangzi Qixue, and Zhuangzi Qishu, and the order of reading I suggest is as follows: First read "Forgetting in the Rivers and Lakes: Zhuangzi and the Warring States Era" to understand Zhuangzi and his people, as well as the wonderful hundreds of sons and hundreds of families and the magnificent Warring States panorama. Then read "Spiritual Interaction with Heaven and Earth Alone: Zhuangzi Upanishads" to understand Zhuangzi's learning, the magnificent universe created by Zhuangzi, and the profound insight into everything in the world through the beautiful allegories of literature and philosophy. Finally, read "Zhuangzi Fuyuan", understand Zhuangzi's book, and understand why Zhuangzi is the common source of the essence of Chinese culture.

Zhuangzi is a top philosopher who is no less than the great philosophers of the West. Socrates, the first great philosopher of the West, said, "I know only that I know nothing." Zhuangzi also said similar words: "to the people to know", "to the people to forget to know", "to the ignorance of people". Zhuangzi and Socrates were about the same time. For example, the great Western philosopher Nietzsche said, "Follow yourself." Zhuangzi also said something similar: "Adapt yourself to the right place, and do your best to receive the heavens." "Zhuangzi predates Nietzsche more than two thousand years.

Nietzsche's ideal was to become superman, and he also wanted more people to become superman. But the "superman" ideal lacks operability and is easy to go to inhumanity, which has been painfully taught in history. Zhuangzi's ideal is to become the supreme person, and he also hopes that more people will become the supreme person. So Zhuangzi said, "The most people first save themselves, and then they save all others." Zhuangzi's ideal of "to man" is operable and will not go to inhumanity.

Zhuangzi is not only a top philosopher who is no less or even more outstanding than the great Western philosophers, but also a top literary scholar who is no less or even more outstanding than the great Western writers. Therefore, Zhuangzi and his people are both top philosophers and top literati. Zhuangzi qixue is both a top philosophy and a top literature. Zhuangzi's book is a combination of literature and philosophy. After reading the three books of Zhuang Xue, through the wonderful fables told by Zhuangzi, you may hear the Tao, realize the Tao, practice the Tao, and become enlightened, and first of all, "adapt yourself to the right place and do your best to receive the heavens." Then further preach and spread the Word, helping more people to "adapt to their own needs and do their best to receive the heavens." (Zhang Yuanshan)
