Zhang Weidong's literary exploration can be traced back to high school. With initial ignorance and curiosity, he encountered literature. Out of his true love for literary authenticity, he unleashed his youthful enthusiasm and worked in poetry, novels, essays, dramas and other genres, only to pursue the inner starlight. Zhang Weidong once wanted to be a novelist, but the great charm of poetry attracted him to this creative field.
On the way forward in literature, the French philosopher and literary scholar Sartre had a profound influence on Zhang Weidong, making him aware of the importance of philosophy to literature. Through his postgraduate studies of philosophy, Zhang Weidong learned how to express the theme of literary creation in depth. He deepened what had been stuck in feelings, intuitions, and experiences into thinking. Zhang Weidong said bluntly: "Philosophy is the support of my literary creation. ”
The German poet Baudelaire believed that poets are also critics, not only to know how to write poems, but also to know how they are written, or the meaning of the work. Zhang Weidong said frankly: "I have studied literature for many years, and the biggest challenge for writing is from scratch. In this process, he precipitated and accumulated long-term and large literary content, with a variety of literary understanding, and absorbed a variety of literary arts. He made it clear that writing is a kind of writing-based creation based on paper and pencil as a tool. Through writing, we can create various forms of literary works, forming a complete literary system, enveloping the heavens and the earth in the form and frustrating all things in the pen.
As a teacher, Zhang Weidong made two suggestions to the students of the Faculty of Letters. First of all, the ability to understand literature is not achieved overnight, but a process of continuous investment. Students can increase their understanding of literature by reading classics, especially works that are inseparable from human civilization. Second, find a way to create. Creation is the construction of literature, and creation can make us see the hidden corners of literature. Try to create, the potential of the individual is not measurable.
Wilde said: Youth is a golden age, all ruined by ignorance. Zhang Weidong encouraged the students, "Grasp the golden age, wrestle with ignorance and stupidity when you are young, and put yourself on the open road." Get rid of stupidity and ignorance and do things wisely. ”

For this award, Zhang Weidong was not overly excited. He is doing a systematic study of new poetry, and this award-winning article is just one of many research contents, and he knows that new poetry research still has a long way to go. "I have a huge plan," Mr. Zhang said. He plans to publish three literary monographs on different issues in the next few years, and present them to everyone through new perspectives and new methods.
