Pioneer in the reform of the family trial team
In 2016, the Supreme People's Court carried out family trial reform in the national court system, and the Xicheng District People's Court of Beijing became one of the pilot courts, and Zhang Shuang's family trial court undertook this task.
Considering the characteristics of family disputes in three points of jurisprudence, seven points of human feelings, and the integration of ethical, moral and emotional factors, Zhang Shuang combined the experience of family trials in the past two years, constantly explored and innovated, and took the lead in trying to form a "3 + 2" family special trial team, that is, on the basis of the ordinary trial team's first trial, one help, and one book, the people's mediator and psychological counselor were recruited as team members, and the whole process of pre-litigation, litigation and post-litigation follow-up and resolution of family disputes.
There was once a pair of elderly people who were nearly 80 years old divorced, the attitude of both sides was resolute, but the reason for divorce was a trivial matter in life, the old couple took turns to find Zhang Shuang to "complain", starting from the acquaintance 60 years ago. It is also these trivial stories that make Zhang Shuang sensitively realize that the feelings of the old couple are still there, and she invited the psychological counselors and people's mediators in the team to mediate with the old comrades-in-arms of both sides for many years, so that the old couple can also feel the care and warmth in the court, and finally the two old people are as good as ever. This new model of soft family case trial repairs the emotional rift between relatives and achieves the goal of "closing the case, the matter, and the person".

Facilitator of innovative mechanisms for family trials
In the more than 6 years of specially trying family cases, Zhang Shuang has closed more than 1,000 cases, and has taken "curing family diseases and relieving social worries" as his responsibility, treating the people's family affairs as his own family affairs, so that the people can feel the temperature of the judiciary.
With the advantages of the diversified structure of the trial team with family characteristics and the openness of the team construction, Zhang Shuang has integrated the whole process of mediation, psychological counseling, post-judgment return visits, anti-domestic violence linkage and other working mechanisms into trial practice, giving full play to the role of the all-round new model of family trial to achieve fairness and justice in trial, mediation to promote family harmony, and counseling to alleviate resistance, with the fundamental goal of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of vulnerable groups such as women and children, and many cases handled have achieved good legal and social effects.
Previously, Zhang Shuang tried a special maintenance case, a mother sued her only daughter, asking her to pay alimony, the original intention is not to want money, but the daughter has turned her away for more than ten years, the mother wants to see her daughter, there is no way to ask for help, and she has no choice but to go to the court to sue.
If the trial is only according to law, it is very simple for the judge, but it cannot solve the fundamental problem, so Zhang Shuang introduced the psychological counseling mechanism into the trial, and after several times of work, the mother and daughter were finally able to communicate frankly in the family mediation room. The mother said to Zhang Shuang afterwards: "I am satisfied with how you judge this case, this is the only time that my daughter and I have sat down to have a good conversation in recent years, and my daughter is finally willing to communicate with me, thank you." ”
Pioneers in women's rights defense
Preventing and combating domestic violence is a key focus for family judges. At the beginning of the implementation of the Anti-Domestic Violence Law, Zhang Shuang actively participated in the work of popularizing the law, guiding the public to change their concepts by participating in press conferences, serving as guests on radio rule of law programs, and providing on-site legal consulting services, so as to promote women's groups to raise their awareness of rights protection, so that potential victims of domestic violence can take a variety of remedies to protect themselves. In addition, she has also provided legal assistance and services to female victims of a number of domestic violence cases through the "Personal Safety Protection Order Green Channel" of the Xicheng Court.
In the case of a young woman Li Mou applying for a personal safety protection order, through the overall coordination of the Xicheng District Women's Federation, Zhang Shuang talked to the victim at the first time and retrieved materials from the public security organs, considering that the victim was emotionally unstable, she repeatedly comforted the victim and kept the mobile phone open for 24 hours, so that the victim could contact the judge in time to ease his nervousness. After the case was concluded, Zhang Shuang continued to maintain contact with Li through the post-judgment return visit mechanism, which has been up to two years now, regularly understanding his life and psychological conditions, and applying to the District Women's Federation to arrange professional psychological counselors for Li to conduct psychological counseling.
Zhang Shuang said that she will continue to work with her family trial team to adhere to the principle of justice for the people and fair justice, take "curing the family's disease and relieving the worries of the society" as her responsibility, and make unremitting efforts to promote the construction of family relations in love with each other in the whole society, carry forward the family virtues of upward goodness, and realize the pursuit of building and sharing the family.
