Grant helped friends create the Venice Book Club, a local Venice club founded by Grant's friends in September 2017. He describes it as "a small community of bad farts" where book lovers gather each month to "read literary masterpieces, sip fine wine, and communicate with readers the meaning and impact of carefully conceived words."

Since 2014, Grant has partnered with the Wayfarer Foundation to provide free clothes, haircuts, foot washes, medical services, legal aid, food, showers, vision checks and a great party for residents of Los Angeles' slums. In January 2019, he posted on Ins describing how important it was for him to be a member of the foundation, explaining that building human connections with people who were not privileged was "the most important." He captioned "We bow our heads to them like human beings, look them in the eye, give them hugs, treat them with dignity, and show them love".
