Is the US version of the Belt and Road Initiative aimed at China? Jian Chen: The fundamental connotation is the same

author:Shangguan News

The governments of the United States, Japan and Australia last month restarted infrastructure plans called the Blue Dot Network. Some Japanese media said that this aims to provide emerging markets with alternatives to China's "Belt and Road" initiative. The Group of Seven summit recently discussed the Clean Green Initiative, which is also seen as another alternative. In this regard, Chen Jian, former vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce, said at the China and Globalization Forum that the epidemic has caused the world economy to experience the biggest recession since World War II, and the primary way to rapidly revitalize is to invest and build in the field of capital construction. The fundamental connotations of China's "Belt and Road" initiative, the United States' "Blue Dot Network" plan, and the G7 "Clean Green Initiative" are consistent.

Chen Jian said that at present, the global capital construction gap is still very large, and capital construction can drive the development of the overall economy. There are many common interests of mankind, and these infrastructure plans should be fully docked, and fully capable of docking. "Two forces combined, the combined force is huge."

He said that in an inclusive world, global economic recovery can be achieved. We must allow different cultures to exist, cooperate more, and fight less, so as to bring more benefits to all mankind.
